Katie looped her hand through his and wasn't in the least put off by his questions. "He may look a little rough around the edges but he's a good guy. Besides he's as a lot hotter than that vampire from the show you're referring to. Though I thought the actor was pretty damn cool."

He harrumphed. "Does your Spike have a job?" He stressed your with a drawn-out drawl just so she realized who they were talking about. He knew Katie and she tended to pick guys who didn't think they needed to work more than a few hours a day and she ended up supporting them until she kicked their arses to the curb.

"He has a job," Katie said with annoyance.

"Uh-huh, what does he do?"
