Elephant Sessions

[image error]We had a real treat last night, thanks to this five-piece band from Inverness, who were making their first appearance at the Old Laundry Theatre in Bowness.

The group is unusual because they play Scottish fiddle and mandolin music against a thumping rock bass’n’drums backdrop. They’re also very, very good. The result is surprising, loud, joyful, and utterly mesmerising. There was hardly a still pair of hands or a non-tapping foot in the house, and by the time the last three or four tracks...
