When she isn't being a pane in the glass, Fiona writes darkly humorous contemporary and paranormal fiction, often involving gay characters and almost always with a twist in the tail. As well as a couple of novels, her short stories have been published in anthologies and magazines, including Mslexia, Paragraph Planet, and The Library of Rejected Beauty. Her paranormal romp 'Got Ghosts?' is available now from Fox Spirit Books.

Fiona lives in a slate cottage within stone-throwing distance (never a good idea in Glass houses...) of England's largest lake with her husband, several pot plants and a vast collection of books. She enjoys history, gardening and photography, and rarely has her nose far from the pages of a book - or a cup of tea.

An amazing book. Five stars for the sheer use of language and the way the characters suck you into their lives so that you're no longer reading a book about them, you're right there with them in the same room. In fact they're not really characters, t ...more

Really wanted to like this as Shadow of the Wind is one of my all-time favourite books. But I was disappointed. It's well enough written and the chapters set in Montjuic Castle with Fermin as a prisoner of the Franco regime are breath-takingly good. ...more

I really enjoyed this. It was much darker than I was expecting, with a terrific and powerful twist that took my expectations on a sharp 180 degree turn about half way through the book. The author cleverly manipulates emotions and sympathies in a way ...more

Fiona Glass and 1 other person liked Diana Sandberg's review of Ex-Libris:
Ex-Libris by Ross King
"Well.....sigh....not really very good, although it has some good elements. I very much liked a couple of King's non-fiction works, The Judgement of Paris and Brunelleschi's Dome, and I believe I read and enjoyed the fictional Domino (although I ca..." Read more of this review »

The author had clearly done an impressive amount of research on this book, and the plot involving hidden libraries, a missing (and priceless) book called The Labyrinth of the World, ciphers and spies, was intriguing. However, everything took a very l ...more
