Villains in the Shadows
Shadow Warrior is unique in that we see the Ferraro family being attacked in more than one way. I liked the idea of keeping the family off-kilter so they didn’t know where to focus their attention. If they choose poorly, someone they care about or love would pay the ultimate price. The obvious villain in this book is creepy. I wanted to write a villain that would be scary in a fundamental way. In a straight forward way. In a way that would give readers goosebumps. I feel this may be one of the best villains I’ve ever written.
If you’ve seen the book trailer, you already have a hint as to what kind of villain this is and you saw him being creepy. I wanted people to realize that sometimes we’re not even safe in our own homes that danger can lurk in places that you should be able to feel safe in.
Other dangers await the Ferraro family and they have to determine how to respond to it. Sometimes the scariest villain is the one you’re uncertain of. Are they out to get you? Now? Later? Not knowing can be the worst feeling of all.

Oh Hayden definitely is among your creepiest! Villians who control you or frighten you through mind games scare me the most. A category most of yours fall into! Other literary villains...Cathy Ames from East of Eden, Professor Moriarty from Sherlock Holmes, Annie Wilkes from Misery...in fact a lot of Stephen King and Dean Koontz Villains are like that.

I think Sergey Malinov is one of your best villains. He has managed to stay under the radar pretending to be the follower of his sibling vampires but he is cunning and had master plans. He managed to kidnap and hide from his siblings Elisabeta Trigovise a carpathian woman with special gifts for centuries, until her recent rescue. He used her to control his self and not rot and decay like kis siblings have and to keep his mind sharp. He is certifiably dangerous.
Evan Shackler Gratsos is also one of the best villians. With an arsenal of men to do his bidding, money almost limitless, paranormal powers, a lot of law enforcement bought and paid for, and a vendetta on his shoulder he has the perfect setup to reck as much havic as he wants. It took many together working to bring him down and end his reign of terror.
The villain that impacted the most was Sorbacov, I reread Vengance Road and cried with Steele as he recounted his experience. The utter disregard for human beings, the abuse of power and the levels depravity some people are capable of is truly frightening.. Evan andhis brother were also figures of terror.BTW Im really really hoping Val turns out to be a good bad boy:)
I think Sorbacov was #1 for sure-deplorable & sick, but at the top of my list will always be Duncan Caine, & the Rev RJ. (SOTH series) The cult bastards from hell that dared to spout sermons while abducting & abusing children for their personal gain and disgusting sick sexual desires. Evil personified, waving a bible, hiding vile cruel intentions--Twisting all that is good to instill fear & hopelessness into their young (and old, vulnerable) victims!
We watch and read a lot of horror stories, with horrible monsters (the Alien from the movie; zombies; giant anacondas, etc.) because we like the adrenaline rush that thrill of fear gives us. However, I have always been more afraid of the monsters that wear people suits who walk among us undetected, and prey upon our children. To me, those are the most evil and terrifying monsters and villains there are, or could ever be.
