Publishers Weekly is an important review mag not least because librarians use it as a guide to order books for their collections.

I will be doing a book signing in honor of its hardcover publication at Uncle Hugo's Science Fiction Bookstore here in Minneapolis, on Saturday, Aug. 10th, at 1 PM. Hugo's will have signed copies in-store and for mail order as soon as they get copies after the July 31st publication date.

(A reminder or note for anyone just catching up, "The Flowers of Vashnoi" is a novella (i.e.,
not novel-length), first published last May as an indie e-book.)

In fact, last week I was engaging with a very nice man I know only from Twitter, who was a little down that evening with career & romantic woes.
He wrote, "I'm 5’2. I'm a tiny package of fire desire and Klippel Feil syndrome that stunted my heart and my body."
I replied, "Are you a reader? Do you read any science fiction? Like devilishly clever space operas with great military strategy, wickedly clever humor, & some of the best worldbuilding ever made? Have I got a hero for YOU!"
He replied in turn, "Do go on."
Then gave a Twitter-short version of who Miles was, linked to a site with a suggested reading order (yours). The *idea* of Miles cheered him up immensely right there and then. And, btw, I know he ordered right away. Haven't seen him for a few days, so maybe he's reading!
I always like it when I hear my writing made a difference, however small, in someone's life. I thought you might, too.
(Copied from a response I made to the reposting of this announcement to FB, where if I'd bothered to read all the way down, would have realized you wouldn't see it there. Also, yes, I did notice my echo in my tweet to him, but it's Twitter, I was going fast & there's no edit function. :D)
