He had hit on her too but she put him in his place and they'd been friends ever since.

"I like Rowan and I don't want you to screw it up. You're her boss," she reminded him as if he could forget. "You can't date her."

"I'm not dating her."

Katie narrowed her eyes. "Good, don't." She pushed away from the bar and stood. "Don't sleep with her either."

"Good Lord, can we stop talking about this now?"
