Addison the Light Catcher
A Children's Book Review by Courtney Kotloski
Illustrated by Natalie Sorrentino
I love Big Sister, Little Brother tales. They seem to strike the heart dead-center. Addison the Light Catcher is no different. It's the story of what happens when someone special enters the world, leaving a special calling that Lovely People step in to without ever being asked.
This is Addison the Light Catcher, a children's book. A beautiful children's book, written by Courtney Kotloski and wonderfully illustrated by Natalie Sorrentino.

Adorable, eye-catching and filled with emotion that will touch any heart, Addison the Light Catcher is the story of a girl who became a Big Sister. Many see this as no big deal but Addison receives a job that she accepts as easily as sliding into a pair of comfortable shoes. It's natural, it's heart-warming.
I don't want to tell what happens in the story, because its tender and I could easily give the plot away and share why this book belongs on every school shelf and in every home. It's a telling of acceptance, inner beauty and most of all LOVE.
Addison the Light Catcher is illustrated in abstract water colors; I think that's a sweet description. The illustrations are bright and bold with oddly made characters who are sweet to look at. The magic of the words lend to the imagery that kept my little ones Ooo'ing and Ahh'ing. What made the book even more appreciative was the conversation my little ones and I shared afterwards. That's what a book should do! A good children's book should get the kiddo's talking- Thank you!
Check out Addison the Light Catcher- it's a keeper. I promise! Cheers!
