Artemis

Novel by Andy Weir
Narrated by Rosario Dawson

Picture Stories like Artemis are always about someone who's down but not out, yet they take chances that place everyone in danger. This book is no different, but it all happens in a way that makes for a true space adventure. Welcome to Artemis, by Andy Weir ! #element-fc1b3cae-bf70-467e-92ae-e39bd2be1d24 .waddons-blog-image.hideImage { display: none;} Picture Picture Jess is a porter, overly confident, a smart-ass, a con and pretty much a crook who will get over on you if possible  But she's honest! Seriously- she's known as being the most honest crook on Artemis. So when she's approached by a client in need of a hostile, company take-over scheme, she's all in. Especially when she's offered a million slugs (that's money on Artemis.)!

But the job is über-difficult, leaving the mission incomplete and the planet in danger! Jess ends up needing to recruit the assistance of a few undesirables, but will they help once they know what she's been up to? Or what she's about to set in motion on top of what's already rolling down hill fast?

Artemis is a space adventure. It's written very well, but I have to point out that everything that happened was Jess's fault! The entire book is written on the catastrophic deal she made, all for money. She knew the risks, knew she more than likely couldn't do the job but she did it all out of greed. People died, lost money and equipment all because she wanted to be a millionaire. It's honestly a terrible story, but it's still good. I know- I'm not making sense. You have to read it. Just know that everyone doesn't get what they deserve and that's sort of a bummer. Read Artemis or get the Audible audiobook.

Cheers!
