School Break by Stacy Hoff

This week my kids have enjoyed a late-winter break from their respective schools, high school and middle school. Both of them used to get a full week off from classes. Now they just get a four-day weekend. Four days is not enough time for us to travel anywhere as a family. Thankfully, four days is enough time for them to catch up on their homework.

While my kids are studying, I’m busy at work, too. I’m juggling a variety of writing related activities in between making the kids sandwiches and snacks. I’m glad I took off a few days from work to be with them, and to get some writing done.

The kids and I will be back at our desks very soon. I’m going to make the best of the the little time we have left. Carpe diem!
