Lois Bujold Btw, I tried again to get the image to load from Dropbox, and was not successful this round. Doing the same thing but getting different results is another recipe for madness, apparently. Any more tricks to try?

I should add, instead of the to-be-replaced www.dropbox.com appearing in the copy-link-location salad, it was http://photos-2.dropbox.com

It was unclear what should be replaced in what order, tho' I tried several variants.

puzzled, L.

DebL You can add links to images that are on other sites like this: First copy and paste this html, omitting the surrounding double quotes: "[image error]". Then go to an image that exists on the web, hover over it with your mouse, and right click. A pulldown menu appears with an option to "Copy Image Address". Choose that. Then go to the previously pasted image tag and paste the image address between the single quotes.

You can use this to link to images on your Dropbox account by going to your account on the dropbox.com web site, finding the photo there, and using the right-click pulldown to "Copy Image Address."

Er, what html...?

Also, @ 4, how did you DO that?

DebL Ah, it converted the instructions into gibberish, hmm. But you got it posted! Here's what the html should look like ... rats. I'm trying to find a really simple example on the web. Back in a sec.

Here's a simple example of adding image links: https://html.com/attributes/img-src/

You grab the address of the image you want to link to, right-clicking on the image and pulling down to Copy Image Address. Then you paste the address in between the quotes, leaving no spaces. My attempt to link from my Dropbox account was a failure, for who knows what reason...

Yeah. It seems a lot of HTML is paid attention to in these comments, and one will need to use the character set codes for things like angle brackets: <> "<>" Also, check using the "preview" button, next to the "post" button (nearly completely greyed out on my display).

Yes, clearly a little learning is a dangerous thing! Thanks.

Martha That cover is gorgeous! It looks like Lauren St. Onge has actually read the novella. I love how there's just that little bit of ambiguity - the line of the jaw, the set of the back - about whether that's really a woman you're looking at.
