BitCoin Plunge!!!
Oh this dredges up such horrible memories, generational memories, perhaps carved right there into my DNA! (I've got a call into ancestry.nyet as I write.) "What has Happened to BitCoin!" was the headline on public TV's "Nightly Business Report" this evening. Tyler Mathissen was in charge of the heart rending post-mortem. BitCoin's value fell today like a Shetland Pony parlay in the 50's. They speculated that it was just another bubble. A bubble!
It IS shadows of the Pony market collapse of the 50's that swallowed all of grandpa Elmore's hard earned cash in the 50's. He "bought the news, and sold the rumor" and all was lost. $20,000 of Shetland gelding and the wailing and gnashing of teeth from grandma Elizabeth was all that was left echoing and crapping all over the back yard. (the pony was crapping, not grandma. And weren't nobody gonna pay $20,000 for that gelding, grandma's voice neither. She was a baritone.)
Then it was the Llama Boom and Bust of the 80's, and daddy Elmore, "E.H", as he was fondly referred to. Well, in the words of Steven Tyler, "it was the same old story, same old song and dance," and the wailing and gnashing of teeth of course by mama Elizabeth. She was a 2nd soprano.
Oh, and those llamas crap too.
And then the "Beanie Baby Boom", with my brother Elmore Jr.
And now the BitCoins, maybe the BitCoins, with my other brother Elmore, Elmore III.
I can't watch this heartbreak again. Our family has seen enough. Please pray tonight, regardless of your faith or denomination. Pray for BitCoin. Pray for my family. Pray for bubbles everywhere. They are pretty.
