My daughter used to say aminal for animal. It was cute, and to this day we sometimes say that, just for laughs.

Oh wow this is a good blog post. I have to admit that I'm a stickler for mispronounced words. Like you said, it's one thing if it's a child who is still learning, but I have to admit I'm not very forgiving of adults who continuously and purposely mispronounce words. *blushing*. If it's a mistake because they're talking fast and their lips got ahead of them, or if their mind is distracted, that is a little more easy to forgive, it's the constant, conscious mistakes that get to me. All that being said, I've gotten much better about keeping my mouth shut about it :-D OR if I do say something it's in a much nicer tone or I'll make it seem like I misheard them or I might say something like "did you mean _____?" I think it's nice that you see this situation as endearing :-)
