Got the e-mail from Subterranean yesterday, and ordered my copy about 15 minutes later.

Mmmmmm.... Cover well done, suits the mood of the story, Penric as the young brown haired lawyer, and the grim fortifications. But not the bright, deep blue skies Penric marveled at as he came in to port. Can't imagine why this bothers me.

But then again, so often cover art has little connection with the story inside. And I admit it won't impact me directly as I am consuming these stories in eBook and audiobook formats. Now, when a combo edition comes out with several of the novellas in them at a price I could afford for the tiny public library where I volunteer, then I will be looking into that.
Not entirely sure this is the place, but the cover of the audiobook (narrated by Grover Gardner) is sporting an almost tropical landscape - from the vantage point of some terrace.At the time I am writing this there is a "sale price" of 3.59$ (vs. regular price 20.96$) on the audiobook (at audible.com, which is an amazon company).
