Book With No Name Finally – FINALLY – has a title #amwriting #eroticromance

First a shout out and massive thank you to Mart, Jennifer and Brenda who have helped with the critiques and given some valuable suggestions. But more importantly, they've dealt with the numerous emails about title ideas for this book. Sorry. *Blush.** Blush.*
Next another shout out and thank you to Jenna, Krista, Melissa Kendall, Dana and Peter who offered suggestions or just offered to help. (If I forgot someone I deeply apologize.)
Over a year ago, I started a book then got stuck and put it away. I wrote FL.E.S.H. then Braced for Impact, but wasn't ready to go back to the first book. Towards the end of 2015, I had a lightbulb moment. The solution to my problem was write a sequel. I hadn't done this before.
People have suggested that I write Trea's story from Black Dorn or Derek Davenport's parents' story from A Kept Woman. I'm not in to writing sequels.
But a sequel solved the problem. So off I went – finished book 1 then started book 2. Now I can't title book 2 because I have no title for book 1. So my series is bogged down as Book With No Name and Book With No Name 2. Happy to announce book 2 is now complete.
But horror of horrors, book 3 announced itself. And you can guess what's its title is – yup - Book With No Name 3.
Book 4 tried to get itself written, but I figured out how to incorporate it into book 3.
This is a very practical way to title your books. Yes, I'll admit it's lacking creativity, but imagine them lined up on a bookshelf – 1,2,3 and so on. None of the craziness of having to remember something like – does the Half Blood Prince come before or after the Chamber of Secrets.
Email after email flew back and forth between Mart, Jennifer, Brenda and I. Most of the emails were – yea, I like the new title, but it's just not quite right.
We were close a couple of times. Then Jennifer suggested I create a series title. We both liked The Chronicles of… but the only word that goes after Chronicles is Narnia.
Then I finally asked for more help. New eyes and new brains looking at something. And lightning struck. Thank you - Jenna! She suggested a title for book 1 that seemed perfect. I did a little brainstorming and books 2 and 3's titles jumped into place.
So – without further ado – Series title – 2 Hearts ~ 1 LoveBook 1 – What Happens in BangkokBook 2 – Darien's DesireBook 3 – Forever.
BlurbErika Bailey, owner/manager of a drag queen club in Bangkok, Thailand has happily settled into all aspects of her new life, except for her lack of a love life. When a new diva auditions, Erika is confused over her instant attraction to the blond God, Apollo. Darien Scott, on vacation after a world tour, mistakenly figures the safest place to be is at The Black Dragon with the head of a Triad. When the club is hit, Darien is the only person to get out alive. Now he's running from the police and a Triad. Mistake number 1.Disguised as a drag queen, he's hired by Erika, but falls hard for her, then struggles with not coming clean with her. Mistake number 2.Can he fix his mistakes and find life and love or is he headed straight for mistake number 3?
Book 1 is going off to the editor – soon. Whew, this writing stuff is exhausting. I think I'll go find some chocolate.
