Fall Prickly Pear Pictures with Red Fruit, Continuation of Fairy Garden Friday
Here is what the Prickly Pear fruit looks like in the Fall. We both tasted the fruit and it seemed OK and we are not dead yet! I think it must be dried up though, so will keep a close eye on the plant next year! Sandy did get a cactus thorn in her lip :)

People are on the Internet for one of two reasons: Either to solve a problem, or be entertained. Are you struggling to create daily numerous engaging “posts” on your Social Media sites? Then you are not the only one on the search of great content. We all want to stand out from our “competition”. On the other hand, creating content for Social Media should not end up in stress. In a former post I explained that blogs do not necessarily need to consist of written content, but also may be among others, videos, images, curated content, re-posts etc. The same is true for Social Media content. How can you achieve this is explained in nine suggestions at http://www.savvybookwriters.com/blog

Fairy Garden Friday – Prickly Pear Cactus
This is a very interesting plant! The Prickly Pear is indigenous to this area. It only blooms once a year in about July.
Trying to weed around it is a definite challenge! Usually, we go around pulling out stickers from our arms for a couple of weeks.
Happy Fairy Garden Friday!!

5 Authors Who Fought the Odds and Lived their Passion
Life experience and passion are necessary to make any kind of writing pop off the page. The most famous authors today have meshed their life’s work, or their favorite hobbies, with their writing. Clive Cussler, Dan Brown, John Grisham and Robin Cook are a few of the authors that have written to their passion by writing about the subjects with which they are most familiar.
The writing of many authors seems more real because it is infused with their own life experiences. Some writers are inspired by personal tragedy or political beliefs. Some authors are motivated by a dysfunctional childhood to create a unique writing style or imaginary world.

Giant Mirrors Bring the Winter Sun to the Town of Rjukan
This is so very interesting how the people here deal with a Norwegian winter with solar mirrors!

Thanks to three giant sun mirrors, the 3400 residents in the town of Rjukan can experience winter sun on the market square. The industrial city is located at the bottom of a narrow valley surrounded by high mountains which obscure the sun from late October to mid-March.
It is not only north of the Arctic Circle the sun disappears parts of the year. The low winter sun does not reach down into narrow valleys as the Rjukan valley in Telemark and the small town.

The idea of solar mirrors is one hundred years old and was launched by accountant Oscar Kittilsen in an article in the local newspaper on 31 October 1913. The engineer and industrialist…
