“Ellen Louise, you've done the sensible thing all your life. Now's the time to follow your heart."

“Dang it, Chance. You been here one day and you killed a man and split another one's skull open. I got enough to do without you adding more work."
Chance kept his tone level. "He drew on me."
"Why were you over in the Badlands in the first place?"
"You know why."
Bowie glared, then lowered his voice. "Think you can get through a day without killing someone?"
"Don't know. It's early yet.”

“You saved our lives, back there."
He leaned his mouth a few inches from hers. "You want to show me your gratitude?"
Ellie moved closer and rested her hands on the great expanse of Chance's broad chest. His mouth twitched in what might have been an unpracticed smile that shot straight through her like a ray of sunlight. She gave him the tight smile she saved for difficult guests, then whispered to him.
"Not if you were the last man in Texas.”

Nice to meet you, too! Surprised you have time to write with all the books you are reading. : - )BookAholic wrote: "Thank you for the friend request Author Jenna Kernan it's nice to meet you :)"
Mikky wrote: "Hi,Jenna!!! Thank you for the friendship :)"Oh, you're welcome, Mikky. I see you are reading Bound By Darkness. That looks interesting. Have you started it yet?
I just added HALFWAY TO THE GRAVE by Frost based on a recommendation of one of the readers groups here. I see you've read that one and like it. Maybe that should be next on my list.
I still am learning GoodReads and posting is a little confusing to me. Not sure how to write someone, only how to reply. :-P
Austin. Well, well. You have drifted far. I'm well and doing great. Working on a new Nocturne now and waiting on edits for the next Nocturne (Beauty's Beast 01/2013) and copy edits on a new Western. Busy, busy! But I sure do remember the first time I ever signed a book...yours!
Jean wrote: "I HAVE READ ALMOST ALL OF JENNA KERNAN BOOKS AND ENJOY THEM ALL. ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO A NEW ONE COMING OUT. JEAN MESS"Thanks, Jean! I'm still figuring out GoodReads and it took me a few minutes to find you comment and to figure out how to reply. It means a lot to me to know that readers enjoy my stories. Your comment made my day!
