Bag Of Swag Contest
Throughout the year I attend several conventions and one of my favorite things to do is check out the swag. I'm always looking for fun creative items that make great giveaways and treasures. I always end up bringing back way more stuff than I need but then I know that we can have a contest here on the blog to give away lots of stuff.
For this week, I've got a bag of swag filled with stuff from the RT Booklovers convention earlier this year. All you have to do is leave me a comment with your email address and you're entered! (although if you clicked to my facebook page and gave it some like love, I'd be super grateful.)
This awesome bag of swag even comes in one of my brand new bad girl bags as you can see in the pic. (Yeah, my picture taking skills leave a lot to be desired.)
Spread the word on Twitter and Facebook. The more entries I get the more I will stuff in that bag.
And while you're waiting to see if you've won, why not check out the next book in my Pentacles of Magick series, Force of Magick.
Dennison Scott is destined to succumb to his dark magick unless he finds and takes his empathic mate, a female born into the prophecy. But this earth witch has already forged a bond with his current lover, Jake that he has no intention of breaking. Curse or no curse.
When both Denn and Jake begin to fantasize about a dark-haired witch, the real trouble begins.
Raven is a witch and a bounty hunter willing to sell her power to the highest bidder, even the enemy. Until she tried to kill one of the Scott twins which left her on the brink of death. Now with her magick bound and captive to two men, she is more vulnerable than ever and she has to decide whether to trust in the impossible or fight for the life she thought she was destined for.

Happy World Cat Day
Not that we need a new day to celebrate kitties. I loves them every day. Especially the BIG ones.
If you're a big cat lover like I am be sure to head over to my favorite facebook page, Big Cat Rescue. They post awesome pictures of the Cats they have on site and there is always a lot going on. Oh and check out the videos too. Kitties big or small provide us so much entertainment. Is it any wonder I write big kitty shifters?
Alas, it is still Monday and so far it's a MONDAY. So for those of you having that kind of a day I leave you with this.
see more Lolcats and funny pictures, and check out our Socially Awkward Penguin lolz!
P.S. I'll be over at JoJo's Book Corner later helping her celebrate her 2 year blogoversary. She's having internet issues this morning.
I've got a hottie, a recipe and a favorite book from my long time keeper shelf. And of course a giveaway!

Another Sunday Six
I'm offering up another six sentences from my WIP, Power Play. This time I've gone back to the beginning.
First a little eye candy…
Snippet:
"Mesmerizing isn't it?"
Jennifer Croft froze at the distinct sound of the devil's voice behind her. Her pussy squeezed. He might not have red horns and carry a pitchfork, but Daegan MacKenna was every inch the kind of man that normally sent her running in the opposite direction. At least that's what she kept trying to tell herself. Someone like him knew how to lure a woman to the darkside with his sexy as hell dark looks and a voice that carried the sound of hot sex and dangerous need.
For more great snippets be sure to visit the Six Sunday blog for a list of all the participants.

Sweet Dreams Sets The Tone
I like to listen to music while I write and every so often I come across a song that hits me as just right for the book I'm writing. It's rarely the lyrics that draw me into that "mood" I'm looking for so much as the actual music. Which is why half the time I strictly listen to movie soundtracks. And probably like many of us, I am a creature of habit who goes back to the same songs over and over.
Until something catches my ear.
In this case I was watching the movie Suckerpunch and found the opening song and scene had the ultimate dark tone that I was looking for. The song is Sweet Dreams but is a cover version by Emily Browning. I love the original, I even love the Marilyn Manson cover. But this version is what I'm writing to as I write Power Play, my next BDSM romance.
FYI the movie in no way resembles a thing I'm writing. Power Play is strictly contemporary. But if I ever get to that BDSM steampunk story I came up with, you can bet I will once again be revisiting this song.
Below are three versions of Sweet Dreams. Which is your favorite?

What's Left For 2011
I sat down recently and firmed up the plans for the rest of 2011. Although if I could write this post in pencil I would. So keep in mind that all dates are subject to change but these are hopefully very close.
Later this week – Force of Magick WILL release. This is the third book in the Pentacles of Magick series and is a re-release of The Healing.
August 11-14 – I will be attending Authors After Dark in Philly. (no I cannot believe that is next week already) If you are in the area I would love to see you at the Saturday signing which is open to the public. I'll have an amazing amount of goodies with me.
August 23rd – Burned, the 4th book in the Purgatory series will release. This is the fire play book so many of you have asked about and is still one of my favorite stories.
Labor Day Weekend – I'll be at DragonCon, wearing costumes, lurking at the writing panels and who knows what else. While not at DC in an official capacity, I'll have goodies. So if you're going to be at DC. Keep an eye out on twitter or FB for some fun.
September 13th – The final chapter in the Pentacles of Magick, Magick Provoked, will come out. This is a re-release of The Revealing.
October 11th – Taken by Tarot release date. (Look for the prequel Dragon's Fate to come out at the same time at a special limited time price of .99 cents)
November 22nd – Power Play, the second in the new Pleasure Playground series will come out with Loose Id. Yep, I signed a new contract with LI last month and I'm really excited. (the first book in this series is Midnight Playground. I think you'll like how I turn this into a series.)
Late December – a new shifter story just in time for Christmas – BAD KITTY - You met Kitty in Kane, she showed up again in Malcolm, and now you get to see what happens to her next. She really has been a bad kitty. (sorry couldn't resist)
I'm working hard to keep to this schedule but keep in mind things out of my control could change these dates. Either way I will definitely keep you posted.
I've also got a couple of other things up my sleeve but I need to play those by ear for now and see how the rest of the schedule goes. But you never know, I might have a surprise or two for you.
Happy Monday!

Six Sentence Sunday
Since I'm hard at work on my next book I thought I'd join in on Six Sentence Sunday and tease you with snippets of Power Play, the next book in the Pleasure Playground series. (Midnight Playground was the first book and is available now.)
Snippet:
He brushed the tears away from her cheeks. "You are more brave than you know, love. I'm proud of you." He rose to his feet.
Her stomach tumbled at the sight of the crop he bounced on his hand. "Then we'd better finish going over the rules."
With her heart pounding, she sucked in air as she waited for his next words.
"Rule number four." He teased her slit with the end of his crop, bringing her right back to the edge with a few swipes across her clit.
To read lots more teasers from the other participants. Head on over to the Six Sentence Sunday website.

It's Time For An Update!
I've just days ago returned from a ten day vacation to the Pacific Northwest. While I travel a lot for my writing I don't get a lot of other vacation time. But since it was my 20th wedding anniversary I was bound and determined to do something special. And let me tell you, if you've never visited the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, you are missing out. Loved it!
But now it's time to get back to work and really get a lot done for the rest of the year. So what's new or coming up? Why let me tell you. *grins*
Just yesterday I was interviewed at the ParaYourNormal Blog Talk Radio show and it was certainly a lot of fun. You can listen to it on their ParaYourNormal Blog Talk Channel. If you are interested in what's coming next in the world of my shapeshifting cougars, you want to listen to the interview.
Yesterday was a very productive day as I also finished writing a proposal for a sequel to my contemporary romance book, Midnight Playground, and sent that off to my editor. Cross your fingers for me on that. I'm really pumped about where I've decided to take the series. In fact, it wasn't planned to be a series at all but as all good ideas do, this one smacked me upside the head and left me no choice but to explore it further. Hopefully I will be very busy the next few months writing this story.
I am currently about half way through the writing of Dark Magic Desire, a new witch book with a unique twist on control and evolution. At least as far as witches go. This book has been a long time coming and with a little luck and a lot of perseverance it will be completed soon.
I've updated the blog sidebar here with all the current writing projects. Or at least the next 4. Although I do have a secret one or two I hope to fit in somewhere.
I also reached out to Facebook and Twitter looking for some specific book recommendations and thanks to the feedback I have started reading a new series that is really good so far. I've been wanting to read Sophie Oak for a while now and as you can see from the sidebar I have begun.
My summer weekly movie quest continues with The Green Lantern this week and Super 8 last week. Thought the Green Lantern was pretty good and really liked Super 8. There have been so many awesome movies this summer I can hardly keep up. Definitely on tap for this weekend or next week are Cars 2 and Bad Teacher. And then of course after that is the long awaited Transformers. Wheeee!
Just looking at the movie releases through August I am seeing 10 more potentials I'd like to go see. Yowsa my budget!
Of course, while I was gone I had a brand new book release. Please check out this new BDSM Menage Romance. It's early days for Submissive Beauty yet and I'm anxiously awaiting reviews and reader feedback. Although special thanks to Robin who let me know on Facebook yesterday that she loved it. Woot!
If you read Submissive Beauty I'd love it if you left it your honest review at Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
Also, in the next few weeks you can expect to see the 3rd Magick book, Force of Magick be re-released as well as the 4th Purgatory book, Burned. More details to follow as their release dates grow near.
As the summer progresses I am sure more will happen. In the meantime you can always find me on Twitter and Facebook.
I also think it's about time I cook up some new contests…
Have a good one!

Excerpt
Gabby turned her car down Franklin Street, and her anxiety soared to an all-new level. She'd gotten dressed per instructions and rushed out the door. A glance at the dashboard clock said ten minutes until her deadline, and she still wondered what the hell she was doing. Every possible scenario she'd imagined led to nothing but more questions.
What would Thomas do to her if she went through with this?
Surely he would touch her, but how far did he intend to push her in one night? Her mind raced with myriad possibilities as fear gripped her so tight she found herself strangling the steering wheel.
Get a grip Gabby. This is what you've been waiting and wishing for, isn't it? A gamut of emotions coursed through her; fear, excitement, arousal, curiosity, and…her arms trembled…more fear. A bark of nervous laughter pressed through her lips. Angel had assured her repeatedly that nothing bad would happen to her, and that Thomas could be trusted with her safety.
She'd learned that he held a considerable position in the community and commanded a generous amount of respect from the members of the club. Those assurances had been enough for her to get this far, but as she searched the numbers on every mailbox, she considered giving up and returning home.
No one would think less of her if she wasn't the right type for Thomas's unorthodox demands. Who could blame her for wanting to get to know a man before letting him dominate her? Yeah, too late for that Gabby. Whether you like it or not, he's been dominating you since you first heard his voice. Gabby sighed.
She spied the number three hundred and ten on a black mailbox encased in brick and quickly turned to the right into the drive. A wrought iron gate stood open as if awaiting her arrival. She slowly drove beyond it and up the winding drive. The house loomed in front of her, large and old. If this was indeed Thomas's house, he had very expensive taste. She'd guess the stately brick home was built in the late 1800s and had been restored sometime in the last decade.
The few gaslights that were lit out front did little other than cast shadows across the footpath that led to the front door. Compared to her modest uptown townhouse she was way out of her league. She parked her car close to the walkway and strained to see through the inky darkness. No other cars were in sight. She shook her head and banned the negativity from her mind. Just because she didn't see any other vehicles didn't mean they weren't there. These houses typically had hidden garages around back.
Gabby took a deep breath and rested her forehead on the steering wheel for a minute, releasing the air one short puff at a time. If she didn't calm down, she'd be shaking like a leaf by the time she got inside.
Get a grip, Gabby. You decided you're going to do this so buck up already.
She stepped from the car and carefully balanced herself, wondering once again why she'd worn ridiculously high-heeled shoes. Because they're pretty, that's why. She walked to the front door and automatically reached for the doorbell. Lucky for her, she caught herself in mid-air seconds before she pressed it. He'd said to enter the residence unannounced and proceed instead of waiting for an invitation to come in. She struggled with her social conditioning as she complied with his directions. Nerves jumped in her belly at the thought of walking into the wrong house and finding herself in more trouble than she could handle.
She opened it noiselessly and peeked through a crack in the door, afraid someone would catch her. Just inside she spied a long narrow foyer leading to what she presumed would be the living area. Gabby crept through the door and quietly closed it behind her. She tiptoed toward the back of the house, trying not to click her heels on the hardwood floor.
The room opened up into an inviting space filled with comfortable furniture and a large screen television as the focal point. Where she'd expected expensive antique furniture, she found a comfortable space that looked lived in, especially the large overstuffed couch that dominated the center of the room.
Gabby glanced at her watch and realized she had about thirty seconds to get in place, or she'd be late. She hustled over to the coffee table, set her purse and keys down and stepped to the end of the couch as instructed. Her body curved around the large rolled end as she wiggled into place—head down, ass up. Nervous didn't begin to describe how she felt. She took a deep breath and lifted her skirt on the exhale.

Let's Give eBooks To The Troops!
Welcome to the Blog Tour de Troops blog tour! The stop before mine was Pandora Poikilos and the stop after mine will be Sharon Gerlach.
If you've been reading my blog a while you know I always post something special about the military for Memorial Day and even talk a little about my time in the Marine Corps. (If you're new to the blog; WELCOME!)
This year I'm starting off the holiday weekend with a big bang and something a little different. I was given an opportunity to participate in the Blog Tour de Troops this year with the goal of giving away eBooks to both the Troops and the blog commenters. That's right. If you comment you automatically help give an eBook to a soldier and get one for yourself. To make that even sweeter there is a large group of authors participating and doing the very same thing.
It's our way of saying thank you to the troops that work so hard in the fight for maintaining freedom. It's often a thankless job, especially after many years of fighting. Public support may begin to wane but their dedication does not. Soldiers leave their families behind to fight for what they believe in most. Freedom. And freedom is never free. They often make the ultimate sacrifice. Something I hope we never forget. They deserve our undying support no matter what our politics are.
Please leave a comment and help me give more eBooks to the Troops!
This exciting event is being hosted by the Indie Book Collective, a fantastic group of authors who tirelessly work to spread the word about quality indie published books. You should click their link and check them out.
Curious about which eBook of mine you'll be giving to a soldier and receiving for yourself?
I've got a series of SEXY witches that are looking to break a curse before the seductive power they've inherited destroys their souls. The first book in this four volume series is Untamed Magick. (book 2, Magick Ignited, is also available with book 3 coming out in June. )
His perfect match—or the woman destined to steal his soul?
Graelen Scott has lived his entire life under the shadow of a prophecy—a curse that gave him unlimited power guaranteed to seduce him to an early grave. When a Tarot historian shows up with stolen family cards and a theory of balance, all hell breaks loose. But his insatiable lust for the blue-eyed beauty clouds his judgment, making it difficult for him to separate fact from fiction.
Determined to understand the secrets that have plagued her for months, Rena Gallagher lands on Graelen's doorstep in search of answers. When fantasy becomes reality and a remarkable power sparks between them, a deep craving to surrender to his raw sexuality is revealed.
Now Graelen and Rena must race to uncover the clues that will break the curse before the seductive magick can consume he and his brothers. And before the darkness drives the woman he needs away for good.
To read a recent review for Untamed Magick, check out Black Raven Reviews, my sponsor for the Blog Tour de Troops!
But WAIT! It gets even better. Each unique commenter will be entered into a drawing for a KINDLE! Be sure to include your email address in the comment so I can send you the free eBook.
Tell ALL your friends they can get a free eBook! All they have to do is leave a comment on this blog and any of the others and they automatically win the eBooks from those authors.
If you missed any of the stops or to check back the next day, head back to the Indie Book Collective for the complete list of participating authors.
Have a happy and safe Memorial Day weekend!
