A Little Bit Vanilla Contest Winner
I mentioned on Facebook and Twitter last week that I had to move my website to a new server. While the move was for the most part a success, I did lose a few blog posts and the comments with them. One of those posts was the Little Bit Vanilla Contest post. Fortunately I had already used random.org and drawn a winner. Phew!
So without further ado… The winner is
TAMMY
Tammy, send me your snail mail address to elizagayleauthor at gmail dot com and I'll get your Submissive Lover's Kit on it's way to you.
Didn't win? No worries. Check the blog later this evening for a brand new contest with another pretty little prize.
Happy Monday!

Six Sunday: Magick Time
Since last Sunday I turned in my latest WIP, I've turned to final edits on the fourth Pentacles of Magick book, Magick Provoked.
But before we get to the excerpt… What's a little Six Sunday without a hottie to go with it. Already I am imagining all the things he could do with that belt. Sighs. This of course has absolutely nothing to do with the story but it's hot all the same. Your welcome.
Now on to the excerpt:
This takes place in the beginning of the book when the heroine is trying to escape from the dungeon she's been held captive in for weeks.
She turned the corner and ground to a halt. There on the dirty floor, with his hands bound and mouth taped up, laid her guard. The same guard who'd treated her like shit for weeks. She bent down slowly so that her mouth was not far from his ear when she whispered. "You should be afraid. Very afraid."
"No, Jessie, we don't have time to play with him right now, no matter how much he might deserve it," Noah warned.
So there's a taste. This book will be out this week along with the newly revised Bourbon Affair, the free read that goes with the Pentacles of Magick series.
Don't forget to head over to SixSunday.com for more great excerpts.

Six Sunday: The End
I'm so happy to report that I have finished my WIP, Power Play. While I'll be busy today polishing it up, it will be off to my editor tonight and I'll be moving on to the next project.
To celebrate I found us something yummy to look at before we get to this week's six sentences.
Sigh. Okay onward and upward. Here's a final six from Power Play:
"You drive me crazy, you know that?" Her mouth opened and he took advantage of the moment to thrust his tongue deep. Between anger and sadness her body still responded to his cues. He wrapped his hand around her neck and held her still while he continued his erotic assault. When he finally pulled away it only took one look to see she was putty in his hands.
"Deny all you want, love. This ends tonight one way or the other."

A Little Bit Vanilla Contest
It's Monday so you know what that means… Contest Time!
I'm a bit late with my post today but it's been a busy holiday for me. I hope everyone had a fantastic Labor Day weekend.
In honor of the book I am wrapping up and the next book I have coming out, I thought I'd get y'all in the mood for a little bondage on the lighter side of life with this fantastic Submissive Lover's Kit. Isn't it too fun?
This set includes a vanilla colored–and scented–blindfold as well as silky ties that can be used as wrist or ankle restraints. Mmmm.
All you have to do to win is leave me a comment on this post (or any other posts on this blog from now until Sunday night for extra entries). This contest will be open to US only because it's coming directly from Pure Romance.
Now that I've tempted and teased you with this cute gift…
I must share some not so great info. I know many of you have been writing to me and anxiously awaiting the release of Burned, the fourth Purgatory book but due to a very stubborn work in progress that took longer than I'd expected it's going to be just a little bit longer before I have Burned on sale. Don't worry the wait wont be long but I don't have an exact date for you yet. I will let you know as soon as I do.
In the meantime think happy thoughts and cute gifts *wink wink nudge nudge*
Happy Monday

Six Sentence Sunday
As the weeks fly by I offer you another six sentences from the Power Play WIP. This story so far has been at times gut wrenching to write as well as immensely satisfying. Every time I think I am near the end of the story they prove me wrong and give me more story to tell.
So, here are six more sentences to tease you. At this point I don't really need to caution you that there will be dirty words, right?
Excerpt:
Tell me, love, why are you tied to my bed when I didn't put you there?" He pressed his cock to the apex of her thighs. Her mouth formed a little o and her eyes grew wide. He nudged her clit.
"Daegan," she gasped.
"Jennifer," he warned.
"I mean, Sir," she responded breathlessly, "I'm sorry, I can't think straight when you do that."
For more great teaser snippets, be sure to hit up the Six Sunday website.

Six Sentence Sunday
It's that time again. Another opportunity for me to woo you with a mere six sentences.
I think the weeks are going by way too fast. Of course that might have something to do with the book deadline staring me down. I've made good progress on Power Play, my current WIP.
This week I offer you a little pillow talk.
My six:
"I'm really glad you came back."
Jennifer's stomach flip-flopped at his admission, "I had to, I tried to leave, I really did, I–I just couldn't."
His arm wrapped around her stomach and pulled her closer, so close she thought she felt the thumping of his heartbeat on her back.
"Don't be afraid," he reassured her, "We just need to get to know each other better and then we'll figure it out."
She sighed. He didn't want to know her–not really. No one wanted the dark parts inside her.
Hopefully this time next week I'll be announcing that I've finished this book and turned it in to my editor. Then I'll be on to something new. No rest for the wicked.
Be sure to head over to the sixsunday.com website and check out the full list of authors participating in this weeks Six Sunday round up.

Authors After Dark Contest
Well, I'm back and a week late with this post. After weeks of running around like a chicken with its head cut off (I know that's awful but that's what my mother always says) getting ready for the event, it's come and gone.
Philly was fantastic and well worth the long drive. From the beautiful buildings to the debate on whether the best cheesesteak is with or without the wiz, I thoroughly enjoyed the city.
And if you're wondering… I did try a cheesesteak one day with provolone as highly suggested by one proprietor and then one with the wiz at another restaurant a few days later. My verdict: I like it better with the wiz.
The #1 thing I love about AAD is how much I get to interact with readers, authors and awesome bloggers.
Other conference highlights for me:
I started the conference by sitting on a panel about self publishing with authors Kristen Painter and Delilah Devlin. (love them, by the way) It's always interesting to hear others experiences as well as hear what other authors are curious about.
My take away: While my self publishing experience has been rewarding in so many ways both financially and creatively, it's a lot of work and not to be taken lightly. It's an option. Just as deciding to publish through a digital publisher over a traditional publisher is an option.
The branding workshop I was scheduled to give ended up being an impromptu and enlightening conversation between authors and two amazing cover artists, Kendra Egert and Pickyme aka Trish. I love when unexpected stuff like that happens.
I was very lucky to be offered the chance to sit on the BDSM panel again and it was a standing room only event. Thanks to our fabulous moderator and co panelist, Tilly Greene, we were able to get through a lot of information in that one hour. The film crew made me a little nervous but I had a great time.
My take away: A lot of readers that attend AAD are interested in learning more about this subject. We need a longer panel.
On Friday, the first annual Bookie awards were presented where I'd not only been nominated in a couple of categories but some of my favorite readers asked me to fill in for a presenter who couldn't make it. Not gonna lie. The best part was winning. lol
Slave to Pleasure won a bookie for ebook novel of the year!
The Shifter panel I sat on gave me some interesting insight into how other authors build their worlds as well as what readers seem to really like.
My take away: I must read Blood Law by Karin Tabke and the Others series by Jess Haines. And I'm never ever forgetting the death by dildo scene in Mari Freeman's book.
I also got a lot of swag and several books, much of which I will be giving away here on the blog. For this week, I am going to do another swag bag like last time, filled with goodies that came from AAD, including at least two to three books. (I'll surprise you) Keep reading and then leave a comment to be entered to win. (Drawing next Monday morning)
Besides meeting lots of readers, another highlight for me is getting the chance to meet authors I've only talked to online. I can tell you for sure that Kris Cook stole the show with his awesomeness. I think everyone's blogged about meeting him. How cool is that?
I want to list them all but I know I'm going to forget someone. Please know its my stupid memory and not a slight against anyone. It was a pleasure to meet and talk to all the Resplendence authors that I so often do word wars with: Bronwyn Green, Brynn Paulin, Mia Watts, Simone Andersen and Jennifer Armintrout. You ladies rock (and you give good party!).
Melissa Schroeder, another great author that's as straightforward as they come. Love ya!
As always, I need to thank my roomies, Cat Johnson and Lissa Matthews, for hanging with me as well as tolerating me.
Can't wait for next year in New Orleans!
I leave you with a few random pictures because I seem to have lost the ability to take decent pictures at a convention.

Six Sentence Sunday
After a week away from writing, I've got the butt in the chair and the nose to the grindstone until I finish this book. I'm still working on Power Play, my upcoming BDSM romance with Loose Id.
I flip flopped on what sentences to give you. I'd started with something from the heroine and her best friend's conversation and then changed my mind to something a little more exciting.
Without further ado…
"Domination isn't just about sex. Not for me. I want you in here because you don't deserve to be in my bed tonight. Your behavior earlier earned you a punishment and this is what I've decided on. First, go stand against the wall with your hands over your head."
Jennifer's eyes opened wide. "Excuse me?"

Snippet Saturday – Magical
It's been a while since I posted a Saturday Snippet but I'm going to try and see if I can do more of them. So Saturday's you'll get an excerpt from an available book and then you can come back on Sunday for a sneak peek into the current book I'm writing.
Since the 3rd book in my Pentacles of Magick series, Force of Magick was recently re-released, I am going to take this week's theme literally and post a snippet that showcases the a little of the magick used in this series.
Force of Magick excerpt:
"I need to get out of here." She rubbed her arms and crouched by the door, anxious.
"What's wrong, Raven?" Denn asked.
"This isn't right. Holding me here like this. I need to get away before something happens."
"Like what?"
She didn't answer right away. What could she say? An energy buzzed under her skin and she didn't know how to explain it, nor did she know what to do with it. With her magick bound some of her normal coping mechanisms were missing.
"Does this have to do with being held against your will or with what happened between the three of us?"
She just stared at him. Unseeing. She stayed back by the door, afraid to get to close. Something about being in his proximity made her crazy.
"That's it, isn't it?" He came around the desk, headed in her general direction.
"No, stay back. Don't come any closer." Panic rose within her, her heart raced, and her skin crawled.
"Raven, baby, what is it?"
"I don't know, something is happening." She couldn't breathe. She held up her hands and focused on the energy in the room. She imagined the moisture in the air and mist rained down on them.
"What the hell? How are you doing that? Your magick is bound. I did it myself."
She concentrated harder past the pain of pushing at the barrier. Deep breaths in and out and it burst. Pain shot through her body as magick filled the room. She briefly looked at the shock on Denn's face as the flood of power swamped her. She ran past Denn and out the French doors into the courtyard. The mist changed to a soft rain that her skin soaked up greedily. She tilted her face skyward, using her freed power to call more water until the rain turned into a torrential downpour, flooding the courtyard and boosting her beyond measure.
Now this is more like it.
After weeks of being trapped in a powerless body her energy and magick were back and she was free.
As the rain soaked her hair and clothes it dawned on her that whatever magick had been not only binding her magick, but also holding her in Denn's home, had been broken. She could finally leave.
Her breath halted. I can leave.
Don't forget to follow the trail for more snippetty goodness.
