Unplugging

I need a break.

It's official.

I'm not taking a total break, but I'm going to cut back on how much I'm on twitter and how much I'm hitting blogs right now.  It's too easy to get  caught up in the politics of writing, too easy to get caught up in the mess that the publishing industry is in…and it takes so much of my brain, there's too little left for writing.

Are writers born or made?  Why I do ask… well, I was reading this post @ galleycat…this line here:

Happy Thanksgiving…

God's been good to me and I've got so many things I'm thankful for, I can't list them all.  But since it's Thanksgiving, I'll hit some highlights.

I'm thankful for my family, first and foremost and always…my rottens and my husband.

I'm thankful for the home I've made with my husband, who I love more now than I did ten years ago…and ten years ago, I wouldn't have thought it possible to love him anymore than I did at the time.

I'm thankful for three beautiful, smart, healthy kids-they make me...

Taking a break…

Hey guys…

I'm taking a few days off.  With all the stuff going on in the publishing industry, I need a break.  Desperately.  I'm getting frustrated and I don't work well when I'm frustrated.  So I need to decompress and get my head on straight.

Will keep up with the contest, but as previously discussed, there won't be excerpts posted through the Thanksgiving weekend.

I've got several booksiginings coming up over the next week or so.  If you live in the area, would love to meet you!
