Today is a writing post.

So here's the deal… I'm writing this post on 11.20, just a few days after the big HQN announcment about their new 'self-pub' venture, Harlequin Horizons (HHz)(UTA…Harlequin Horizons is now Dellarte Press).

I use 'self-pub' lightly because from what I can tell, it's not true 'self pub'.  It's vanity press…as in the writer pays a huge chunk up front and then still split the profits with the vanity press.  Self pub?  Writer fronts the costs, keeps the profits.

So last night was my first release day signing. First midweek signing. I was nervous as hell. However, it went pretty well. Sold several books and most of them were to readers who hadn't read me before, so that's a good thing….assuming they like me… O_O

Two of the people I met were actually booksellers from a small, local town which is pretty cool. So… also made contacts. Double good. We got to talking and I said something about being in a fishbowl.

They laughed and I joked about...
