And we have a winner…

Two of them actually.

Winner of the No Prince Charming contest is….

Shell/Hockey who said:

I will be getting this one for sure…. if you send it here all the better… LOL Candy Houses gave me a taste of your fairy tales and I loved it…. Will be doing a review of it in any case when I get it but how about a twitter #hashtag blitz with some selected scenes or dialogue. Added bonus is I hear a rumour that there is a mennnnnage! LOL

People should know I am fickle.  If you tempt me with shiny hashtags...

I just feel the need to say this…

Although the likelihood of them reading this isn't big… I know some really, really cool MAs and one excellent doc.

See more LOLcats|Dr. Tiny Cat

Now this isn't news to me.  It's not.  But sometimes I see them do something that's just… well, really special.

I'm not going into detail, especially as the doctor growled at me when I told him, "You're a nice guy, Charlie Brown."  Apparently people aren't supposed to know that.  Then he needs to hide it better… *G*

No Prince Charming…releasing next week in ebook. Want it?

Her Happy-Ever-After has been a long time coming…

No Prince Charming

Elle spent years trying to get over her so-called Prince Charming, and she's finally getting the hang of it. A Grimm—a guardian angel with unique gifts—she spends her nights trolling for demons and kicking ass, and lately, her days have been spent with her on-and-off-again lover, Ren, a fellow Grimm. But fate has other plans in store for Elle, plans that include Michael, the prince from her youth who broke her heart.

"What do...

Here, I Helps U

Okay. Back in high school, I read a book.

It was romance.

It involved Merlin.

It was set in modern times. Kind of a time travel. Merlin was a magician in the current times.

There was a crystal cave involved. I think at some point the heroine goes back in time and does something to help free him.

At the end of the book, Merlin and the heroine are...

Maybe a parallel… of sorts. Maybe

Most people would agree that medical insurance any more is a mess.

Deductibles are sky high, co-pays are outrageous, anybody with 'pre existing' problems has MAJOR problems.

It is, plain and simply, a mess.

Some of those in the medical profession saw this coming.  I've only been a nurse since 1996 and I was young(er), getting ready to get married, had a million things to do, see, plan, think about.  I remember hearing the rumblings then.  But I didn't pay them much mind.  A lot of people...

Reader Q here… does piracy affect you?

Anybody who visits my blog on a semi-regular basis knows my views on piracy-I think it bites-it makes it harder for me to do my job, takes time away from writing, frustrates me, etc, etc.

But yes, these are writer concerns.

I've got a question and it's solely for readers-I want the opinion of readers, not the writers who are also readers-I realize we look at it from both sides of the fence and sometimes that complicates things.

So, to the readers, do you think piracy affects readers?  How? ...

Haiti…Helping Out…Hunter's Fall.

Okay, so I want to do something to help raise money for Haiti.

Here's the thing… I try to do auctions thru ebay sometimes, but that's not going to work this time… I've only got one ARC in the house and it's already got an owner-just haven't mailed it out.

ARCs are the best way to generate money on ebay and it will be months before I have another one.

So how about this
I can dedicate a book to anybody I

And if you'll help out Haiti, you can get a chance to have your name mentioned...

An excerpt from Charlotte McClain

Howdy guys… I'm busy playing catch up so I'm going to leave you all with an excerpt today… this is from Charlotte McClain and here's her site.

Spark of Desire

Excerpt:

Spark Of Desire by Charlotte McClain

He stalked to the hall and through the door that had been closed when he first arrived before realizing it was her bedroom. In the far corner sat her bed, shoved against the wall. With its high head and foot boards it seemed to have walls of its own.

Covered with an Indian patterned purple satin...

Beyond the Night…now available…

I was lucky enough to get an early read of this one (disclaimer: Jos gave it to me)… and it's good… strange twist on an old legend.  Loved it.

Beyond the Night|Jan 12, 2010

Excerpt

"That was a big-ass snake," Jade said, trying to keep her own breathing under

"A big-ass snake?" he said, his eyes crinkling at the corners. They were dark
