A need to protect? Not so much.

It's more a need to educate.

Apparently some people confuse a desire to 'discuss' things or a desire for more 'education' with a desire to 'coddle'.  FYI, really, I'm not a coddler.  Ask my kids, and if I'd coddle anybody?  It would be them-love them more than anybody and anything, and I do my best to protect and care for them.  But I know they are sometimes going to trip, they'll fall, and when I see it happening, I don't immediately leap to kiss their every bruise.  If they get up on their...

No Prince Charming… the next Grimm Fairy tale…now out.

Releases today… (please note, I'm loading this to go live at my normal time-the book will probably be available sometime Tuesday morning, EST)

No Prince Charming

Her Happy-Ever-After has been a long time coming…

Elle spent years trying to get over her so-called Prince Charming, and she's finally getting the hang of it. A Grimm—a guardian angel with unique gifts—she spends her nights trolling for demons and kicking ass, and lately, her days have been spent with her on-and-off-again lover, Ren, a...

New-sy Bits

Couple of things…

One of my group/author sites, After Midnight, has been revamped.  Take a peek…looks awesome, I think.  Still some work in progress, I think, but I love it, and now, updates are a piece of cake… AND…no longer my problem.  *G*  Even better.

Guilty Needs and Every Last Fantasy are now in print… together in a volume titled Guilty Obsessions.  Right now, the title is available from EC's store.  It will be available elsewhere as time goes by.

And this, hopefully, will be good news...

To help me get the word out this Tuesday…bear in mind, this isn't exactly a contest, per se, it's a more a 'trade' of sorts.

Sasha White…Sasha can have any book of mine she wants.  *G*  She's too good to me, so if she wants, is hers.

I'm looking for a few good….bloggers

I have a prior commitment on Tuesdays for the foreseeable foreture which kind of poses a bit of a problem…books release on Tuesday.  Like this coming Tuesday.

And I've got a book out on Tuesday so while I will be definitely set a post to go up about it (making mental note), I'm not going to be able tweet about it as much or do as much promo the day of.

So I'd like a few bloggers to help me out.

And in return, I'll give you a free (ebook) copy of No Prince Charming.

No Prince Charming

Questions I Get Asked A Lot…

File this this under…questions I get asked a lot.

So… how is the book going?

Non-writers who are also non-readers seem to think there is just one book.

They all seem to think I quit the day job to write one book.  How is the book going, because I quit the job in 2004 and I'm still working on the book.

Yep.  I quit the job to write the book, and they paid me so darn well I'm still living off the check nearly six years later as I quit the job in 2004.

Snort.

NOT.

In reality, for those who are...

Sorry, Mr. Weiss. I'm not impressed.

Remember Mr. Weiss of Author Solutions (remember Harlequin Horizons/Dellarte Press)?  He's the one who's talking about all the great opportuntities his company is bringing to the table.
Pay thousands…sell 150 books. This was something I blogged about a few months ago, which included this choice

So while I was link gathering for Sunday's post on Get the word out, I found this post at Juno Books.

The really good part was this:

If nothing else, self-publishing is a choice a writer...

Giving it up

This bites, but it was necessary.  I know all about doing what's necessary…I'm a realist and in the end, if something's bad for me, my kids, my life, I'm going to to cut it out of my life.

And I had to say goodbye to taekwondo.  Some people are probably wondering what the big deal is, but I've been working toward getting my black belt off and on for 12 years and more seriously for the past four years…minus the time I had to take out when the baby bratlet decided to be born and all that.

So it...
