The doorbell rang, knocking Oliver out of his self-reflecting trance and as he jumped to his feet, he also took a cautious step back. His eyes darted towards the mantel clock above the fire. It was 10 o’clock. Who would be calling at this late hour? he thought as he moved away from his desk. Maybe if I’m quiet, whoever it is will just go away.  But to his own surprise, he walked toward the huge oak front door with his hand out, slowly grasping for the knob. When the doorbell rang again he jumped, startled, and stopped in his tracks. He was overcome with fear and he froze. He was thinking of the home invasions that were always in the news, but then he reasoned with himself that a burglar would not ring his doorbell. Would he? His heart was pounding, racing in his chest, despite his efforts to calm himself. “Who is it?” he called out.  Another surprise stroked his ears when a sweet voice floated back in reply, “It's just me, Victoria Blakely, from next door. I need some help.”  He switched the porch light on and peeked through the peephole. He unlatched the door, still trembling. Taking a deep and determined breath, he squared off and stole some courage.

He opened the door, just a crack, and peered out into the night. As his eyes adjusted, he found himself looking into the most stunning green eyes, framed by raven curls. He was sure he had never seen a more beautiful pair of perfectly matched eyes in all his lonely life. He couldn't stop himself from pulling the door open all the way. Then, as awkwardly as always, he mumbled, “Do I know you?”“Does that matter? I need some help; I need your help.”She looked back at his stricken face and quickly, with the confidence only beautiful women possess, brushed past him out of the falling rain and into the entryway. “I just moved in next door and I came home to find that the electricity has gone out. I don't know who to call and I remembered my agent saying a nice older man lived here. So, can you help me?”“Well…Victoria, is it? It is after ten and I see your house is dark. It's cold and wet and I’m not sure there is anyone you can call at this hour for help at the power company.” He stepped back knowing that he was once again showing his complete lack of social skills with the opposite sex. “Forgive me. I'm so sorry. My name is Oliver Brainard, won't you come in and we will see what can be done.”Victoria walked into the nicely decorated living room where the glow of a warm fire greeted her frustration with open flames and a soft, pleasant crackling. She settled into the warm grasp of a large overstuffed, well-worn leather sofa. She watched him follow into the room, limping slightly. Her eyes closed for a moment.  “Are you limping?” she asked.“Ah, yes, yes I am. I do.”“Are you injured or do you have a disability?”Embarrassed by her brazen inquiry and feeling pressured yet again, even by a woman, Oliver was quiet.“Well…?”“Would you like a drink or something, Victoria?” His voice, nervous and shaking, came from nowhere. Oliver, having startled even himself, shifted uneasily in his obvious discomfort with the unexpected company. “Please.” Then, without hesitation, she added, “white wine if you have it.” He nodded quietly in acknowledgement, hobbled into the kitchen and returned with a glass of something white. “Riesling,” he said to this vision of loveliness. She sat with her eyes closed and head back, resting on the sofa. He stopped mid-stride and simply stared at her profile. He realized he was becoming aroused. This lovely creature who had invaded his loneliness did not move from her position on the couch. Despite his growing bulge, he moved toward her with the glass of wine and when she sat up she was eye-to-cock with the object of her inspiration. She ran her eyes up his torso slowly as she took the wine and asked simply, “Have you been thinking about something pleasant?”

5* Review ~ Thank you so very, very much for your kind and generous review of my first love and my first book. This book took me four years to write and every ounce of love and imagination I possess went into crafting this love story that spans a century. The inspiration for this story was Washington Island, WI where I lived and owned a business with my husband. Nestled in the cool waters between Lake Michigan and Green Bay, it was hard NOT to be inspired. You are very much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read my book and write this lovely, lovely review. ~ Muffy xo

New Orleans is Magical Especially for Vampire Erotic Romance ~ Deep Dream by Elodie Parkes @ElodieParkes

Thank you for inviting me to your blog today to celebrate my new release with Hot Ink Press, erotic paranormal romance, 'Deep Dream.'
This story concept was originally formed for a proposed series. Now it has been completed revised, lengthened, and re-edited for Hot Ink Press.
Essentially a vampire erotic romance, it also has threads of magic, and taking place in New Orleans, it's set in a music club/rock club, the mysterious StarZ.
Ethan Ross, the vampire hero, has been in New Orleans since his girlfriend and sire, dumped him in 1922. He's used to the weird undercurrents of the city and now works in StarZ that caters to the supernatural folks. His band, Deep Dream, play there. He's tasked with taking care of the 'ordinary humans' that arrive in the club and he does this happily ...
With a broken heart to heal Ethan swore off love long ago ... that is until starry eyed Anna Prideaux wanders into his life. Then sparks start to fly ...
Read an excerpt
She watched him disappear into the gloom. Anna stood and scooped her phone from the counter. She glanced around to check who might be watching her. When it looked like no one was, she quickly followed Marcus. She quickened her pace as she lost sight of him in the swirling mist at the back of the club’s main room. Marcus disappeared.
When she reached where she’d last seen him a shiver spiked up her back. The mist was freezing cold, the air thick with potent. Anna turned away as a weird fear gripped her. She practically ran back to the bar, weaving through the groups of patrons, and muttering, “Sorry,” as she knocked into one, splashed the drink from the glass of another, until she stood in front of Ethan.
His gaze mesmerized her. She wasn’t even sure she actually heard his voice, but somehow he soothed her.
“Anna, it’s time you went home now. You want to go home. You have work to do transcribing the interview with the band. Everything’s fine.”
She smiled at him. “I’m off now. Thank you for answering my questions. Thank Marcus for me. He left.” She gestured toward where she’d run from. A flutter of fear rose in her stomach and then Ethan was leaning forward, his blue eyes capturing her so that she dreamily froze to soak up his low voiced words.
“Goodnight, Anna.”She left the club happily, a faraway feeling carrying her along ...©Elodie Parkes Hot Ink Press 2016

Chapter 1.

Nicky
I woke up slowly. Opening first one eye then the other tentatively. My head banging and my mouth felt like the bottom of a parrot cage. The need for food immediate and overpowering. The mantra in my head repeating over and over. I am never drinking red wine again. I am never drinking red wine again.     Then, I spotted the open packets and containers of food spread across the coffee table in the living room. No wonder my neck hurt so much. Falling asleep on the sofa with my head at an unnatural angle will do that to a person.    With a selection of leftovers heated up I munched aimlessly. Trying to remember how I got home the previous evening. And, the twenty dollar question was “Who with?” I could hear someone coming through my front door with a key. But, I lived alone, and no one else had keys to my flat. Not even my family. I turned to look as the handle started to twisted, panicking as the door pushed open and in stepped a stunning man with dark brown hair. He was wearing, what looked to me like a Saville Row suit. His steely blue gaze connecting with my own slightly bloodshot pale blue eyes.     Oh. Finally awake are we?” he remarked in a clipped accent as he walked in shutting the door carefully behind him.     I attempted to swallow the mouthful of curry I was in the middle of chewing and began to cough violently. It had gone down the wrong hole and I was turning an unattractive blue hue.     Reacting quickly he shot over and banged me on the back sharply three times dislodging the errant bit of curry. Which promptly shot out of my mouth, landing on the rug. Oh. My God. How embarrassing I didn't have a clue who he was and this is how he gets his first glimpse of me. Eating warmed up curry. Looking like I had been dragged backwards through a hedge. Except, apparently this wasn't our first meeting at all. He had a key to my flat and seemed to know his way around.      What on earth went on last night?    Grabbing some tissues I cleaned up the mess on the rug and guiltily started to tidy up the living area. He grabbed my arm firmly, turned me to face him and commanded.     “Stop that right now. We need to talk. Sit down there.”      He pointed to the sofa and I felt an overwhelming compulsion to follow his orders.     “Right. Tell me what you remember from last night. The truth mind you. I won't be lied to.”     I opened my mouth, then closed it again. This happened a few times as I had no idea what did happen, how he came to have a key or even how I got home.     “Enough of that now. You look like a demented goldfish, opening and closing your mouth like that. So. I assume from your body language and failure to respond that you haven't a clue who I am. No idea what I am doing here or even aware of the fact I had to escort you home.”     I nodded and shrugged. Not trusting myself to talk without making the situation worse. So. The “who” I came home with was revealed.     “Well then. Perhaps introductions are in order. For starters I know a little about you already. Your name is Nicola Johnson, or Nicky to your friends. You are a student at Salford University studying sociology, who works in a bar in town part-time. Your parents live in Spain having retired recently. Are you sure you can't remember anything about yesterday evening?” He quizzed. A stern look on his face.    I stared at him and tried my absolute best to remember something, anything. He did look familiar but I couldn't even remember his name, where we had met or what had led to us coming home together. He wasn't even my type, which was the big shocker. He looked way to sophisticated for a piss poor student like me to snaffle.     “Well...I remember your face. But, other than that it is hazy. I must have drunk way too much red wine last night to blank out the entire evening like this.” I replied.     “Oh, petal I think the shots might have something to do with the memory loss. That, and the spliff I found you sharing with the guys that wanted to take you home with them. For a threesome as I remember rightly.”

“Don’t you need to go, Holly Jacobs?” Even the way he murmured my name was sexy. This was crazy. Add that to my track record of bad decisions and getting involved with Zack was dumb on an epic level. I was incapable of having a no-strings fling. For me, it was all or nothing, and this time I was going to make the sane decision.
“Why don’t you call me just Holly?” Asking him another question was harmless.
I saw a flash of white teeth in the darkness. “I like your name.” He sounded amused. “Is that okay, Just-Holly?”
Dear God. In the middle of his grief and distress, he still had a sense of humor. I really needed to escape before I found any more reasons to linger. But I didn’t move an inch.“You sure you don’t want to come back to my place?” His whisper reverberated through me, turning my spine liquid and my knees to jelly. He shifted position slightly and I felt him trailing a hand up my back, the fingertips tiptoeing with excruciating slowness and precision.
“Zack, I don’t do one-night stands.”
“I’m here for two nights.”

THESPA, QUEEN OF the water sprites, and ruler of all the Never Sea, returned to the human world with a profound sense of dread. As the leader of the watery half of Neverland, not much worried her.
At least, it hadn’t until the humans began forgetting about magic and the sprites began dying.
This trip back to the human world wasn’t one she had made out of choice—necessity brought her here. She’d come to find someone to believe in her, possibly several someones, depending upon how successful her quest proved to be. Then, she’d bring them back with her as a sort of insurance so she’d never have to come to this wretched place again.
Fish won’t do, she decided, staring at the wide-set eyes of one particularly ugly pufferfish. She stood on a wide piece of coral, deep beneath the waves of this warm human ocean, and looked around. More unintelligent fish, crabs, and other sea creatures milled about, none looking particularly pleased or excited to see her. The only ones who showed any interest in her at all were the ones who stopped just long enough to see if she was a small, sparkly bit of food.
This could take forever. Her wings dipped down in dejection. I wonder how long it took the pixie to find that flying Peter-boy?
One of the golden pixies, Tink, had been the first to bring someone to Neverland. When that proved successful, she’d brought a handful more. Her Lost Ones, the pixie had named them. They were, Tink explained, the ones the human world wouldn’t miss.
Thespa crinkled her nose in disgust. As a creature of the sea, she didn’t care for humans. Though they resembled water sprites and had legs to walk about on, they lacked a graceful set of wings that could take them through both water and air. And they most certainly didn’t have any magic. Humans were meant to be above the sea, not below it. Still, the idea of taking someone or something to Neverland that wouldn’t be missed did appeal to Thespa. She sighed, wondering how long it took Tink to find her Lost Ones.
She started to fly from her perch and try a new place when something stopped her. Literally.
Thespa looked down and scowled, kicking the errant strand of seaweed that had twisted itself around her foot. The bit of green plant gave way at her vicious kick, but left a long green streak of slime down the length of her leg as a parting gift. This, of course, did absolutely nothing to improve her mood.
She was so aggravated that something extremely important had escaped her notice—the gaping jaws of an eel headed directly at her. Her anger disappeared in a fleeting second, but it was too late to move.
A hand wrapped around her an instant before the monster’s teeth snapped.
Nonplussed at missing its small, sparkly appetizer, the eel swam off in search of another easy, unsuspecting meal.
Once the hand opened, Thespa let out an uneasy breath and looked up into a pair of wide, silver eyes, framed by long locks of blond hair.
At first, she thought she’d been saved by a human, but then she spotted his long tail and realized he was as much a creature of the sea as she—and he was exactly who she’d been searching for.

Just as we cannot live without dreams, we cannot live without love. Love is not found, for love is truly blind. Lovers do not meet for they dwell inside of one another until the moment a whisper ignites the heart and a kiss touches the soul. And we call that the beginning...of life with love.
So on Valentine's Day, what better way to lay tribute to love and lovers than with a love story that just happens—not on purpose, not by design, not by any other intention than to live life and love without boundaries? To fly limitless into the arms of someone who completes your soul gives one wings.
Nothing can stop the power of love between a man and a woman.
This is a story about a professional woman, unlucky in love and tired of all things testosterone, who is erotically tempted by a female piano bar player and torch singer. Her intended tryst is derailed when she meets a Navy Seal in the lounge enjoying the sweet temptations of a Southern Comfort Manhattan.
How does the night unfold for the strangers above the jeweled colored sparkling lights strewn like a bed in the valley below? Perhaps a twosome or maybe a threesome. Or...
Perhaps forever is only for a night.

You know, the longer and more that I do this, it never gets easier to talk about myself. I think writers are inherently private, why I don’t know, because everything we write is revealing in some way. But, I love talking about my books and characters, so I guess, someday, I’ll get used to talking about myself too!
How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing? In many respects, I have written most of my life. I was in sales and marketing before I retired and I had to write proposals, proformas, presentations and contracts so I had to have some command of the English language. It was only after I started writing provocative romance and erotica that I realized how little command I actually have!! But, I started, in earnest, writing stories and books in 2010. My first story, The Storm, was published in 2010 by Oysters & Chocolate, an online magazine now defunct. The $10 I earned mad me a pro! I hope that isn’t a sign of things to come!
How did you come up with this story?I wrote a very short workshop teaser, The Bath, for a group I am in in which the woman bathing dozes and feels hands on her, soothing her tired muscles and becoming more insistent, erotically. She gives herself over to the sensations and then as she drains the tub thinks she sees a face in the water. It was the beginning or a romance that spans a century about a seafaring man that keeps returning to his home to try to find his beloved, Amalya who died in childbirth. He mistakenly thinks that Emily, now  in his home, is she. That is how this all started and these two characters literally swept me away.            What are the best and the worst aspects of writing? As always, the agony of a blank page and the ecstasy of two little words, “The End”. In all fairness, writing is a solitary endeavor, so the loneliness gets to me occasionally, but I have taken to the couch and write beside my husband as he does his crossword puzzles and watches sports. And I have my characters to keep me company.
What inspires you to write? I know writers always say ‘everything’ but for me, that really isn’t true. A melody might, something that happened to me in my life, someone, or something I saw. Once, on the day that JFK was assassinated, my Mother and I were shopping in Paris. My Dad was an Air Force colonel and we were stationed there for three years, but that is a story in and of itself! Anyway, I saw a man strike a woman across the Champs Elysees in front of the Arc de Triomphe. The ‘City of Love’ changed for me forever in that one moment. Things like that inspire me. Politics, for example, do not so everything is not inspiring to me. I suspect, to sum it up, the human condition is fascinating to me; how people treat and react to one another at their best and worst, is inspiring.
How did you conduct your research for Consenting Hearts?Humm, I really didn’t. This is another time when much of what I wrote, I lived. The same is true of Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences, although not all, for sure. The setting in The Para-Postage of Emily, is on an island between Lake Michigan and Green Bay. For many years, my husband and I lived on an Island in the middle between both of those bodies of water and the ferry had to cross “Death’s Door, so named by the Indians because of the treacherous currents. It is a small 36 square mile island settled by Nordic settlers many generations ago so many of the current residents are related. Small Island, big gossip! Anyway, we lived there for nearly 20 years. That is where this story takes place, in a small part of my heart. For Consenting Hearts, The beginning is how I met my husband. The drama surrounding the meeting is pure fabrication, as is the rest of the story, but that is how this lovely piece begins and why.
What are 3 of your favorite lines/quotes from Consenting Hearts?I have so many, but these are just a few that are PG rated for this interview:
Sailie took her first sip, feeling the warmth of the drink claiming her body, inch by inch. She savored that very first sip luxuriously. It was like a lover’s hands sliding down her body, igniting every inch as they felt their way to her toes.
Swish, swish, swish…and her thong bit into her tender folds as a poignant reminder.
Dylan lit a cigar and Sailie thought she would like to die in his arms from the mere honeyed scent of the burning leaves.
What would your friends say is your best quality?I am a good friend, I think they would say. I hope they would anyway. I try to be helpful and supportive. It is so hard to be a writer today. There are 55,000 new books published monthly. Anyone can write and publish a book. I can be very discouraging for an author to be read and, as you know, promotion is time consuming and exhausting leaving little time to do what you love. I try to do whatever I can to help my friends. I try to be generous with my time and whatever talent I possess that might be useful to them.
Are reader reviews important to you?Reader reviews are very important to me. Positive reinforcement is essential to my life-force. It is like getting all dressed up for a party looking your best, and no one notices if I don’t get reviews. And it is crushing. You know, shameless self-promotion only goes so far, and that’s usually with your family! As in anything, word of mouth is the best form of advertising—and so it goes with books. Oddly enough, while I don’t particularly care for average reviews, they do not bother me. You cannot please everyone and one really never knows a reader’s points of reference. Anyway, I am harder on my work than anyone else could ever be.

I have been fortunate to be selected as a Readers' Favorite. You can read some of the wonderful nearly two dozen 5 star reviews here:

What do you do when you don’t write? My husband and I used to boat, but we lost interest when gas prices went so high. We had a 28’ Grady White. Beautiful boat. But we could eat lobster every day for what it cost us to go fishing in the Gulf a few times a month! That takes all the fun out of a hobby. I walk a lot as, like Emily, I have a wee Havanese dog of 12 fluffy pounds and I sew. I am also a licensed realtor, although I have been ‘inactive’ for the last year making a heartfelt effort with my writing. Come to think of it, I have done little else but write in the last year!!
Tell us about your other books? Thank you for asking. I have this new book on pre-order now releasing on Valentine’s Day titled Consenting Heart: A Very Special Valentines. Pre-order here. It includes elements of the day I met my husband but the rest is pure sizzling fiction. That is where this love story takes place, in a small part of my heart. The story of a seafaring man, tormented by loss and love, who returns nightly for his love Amalya who died in childbirth, only to discover Emily who now owns his home. Love across a century. Very sexy, very romantic! Order Here
Then I am contributing to a real scorcher, Alpha Fever: 22 Sizzling Contemporary and Paranormal Romance Stories. My story is about a good neighbor and The Butterfly Collector. Pre-order here. It has an interesting backdrop of BDSM. I am not  proficient in that genre so it is mild, but still an interesting story I think about releasing ourselves to the care and trust of another and how we blossom as a result of what we learn about ourselves. The protagonist has a club foot, and yes, I once dated a man with a club foot. As with most disabilities, visible or not, it is our own feelings about it that are the most crippling. My last release was a fund raiser I help with for a friend that suffers from Ataxia, a neurological disorder affecting voluntary coordination of muscle movements. I wrote an inspirational piece about when I was raped and how we can overcome anything, with the right help and desire. This Beautiful Escape Order Here All proceeds go to charity and you’ll learn a little more about me and have loads of inspiring stories, poems, quotes and daily reads to perk you up.
I have thirteen or so books/anthologies published now so I can’t talk about each of them, however, I love Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences as one of my favs and also, along with Emily, I am writing a sequel. This is an interracial love story about a famous opera star and a young beautiful designer. And yes, I did ‘know’ a celebrated opera star and the famous San Francisco Whitcomb Hotel does exist. My last release, written with my friend Chrissy Laurence, was in September in the form of Cheerleaders in Heat and that is a real 5 flame eroco-throbber. Fun and funny, but serious, it exposes the underbelly of life in South Miami’s nightlife; there is some violence that alters the course of my heroine’s life.Your readers will be hearing more about those books in the coming months as we delve deeper into my sordid writing and past. In the meantime, they can check out my books and add them to there Wish List on my Amazon Author Page
If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readersto know what would it be?I never graduated from college. Most people do not know that about me and just assume I did. While I would never want alter the course of my life, that is my second greatest regret. But, I am happy with how my life has gone; I am wealthy beyond money, I had a great career as a Regional Director with IBM, and my life has been enriched by all those that have touched me and continue to love me. I have a wonderful husband who thinks it is funny I write ‘porn’ and a step-son who thinks I am awesome. Could it get any better than that?
Well, I suppose I should say “Good Bye” as I would hate to bore you into thinking my books are equally tiresome! They are lovely. Read some of the reviews, speaking of reviews. It has been an honor to be here with you today. I so appreciate your time and interest in sharing my work with your friends, family and fans. They are all a special lot and I love each and every one of them. Thank you for stopping by.

She told him what she had done to herself in the ladies’ room, the slight smell of vodka and lemons on her breath escaping from full, ruby lips as he watched them move with each word and syllable. He was getting hard again; she could see the bulge in his pants. She described in detail exactly what she had done, how she felt and how it had made her feel when she emerged from the ladies’ room: strong, powerful, in control—hot. She leaned in closer and whispered into his ear.“I am so tempted to guide your hand up to the wet desire you caused between my thighs.”His bulge was quite obviously rock hard, as he no doubt remembered when she’d returned from the ladies’ room but in earnest at her seductive suggestion… “I would be less than an officer and a gentleman if I didn’t oblige. I must confess,” Dylan said, “I thought I smelled the fragrance of sex on you, and you made me hard as steel—Navy steel hard…Jesus, Sailie…” Ordinarily, a comment like that would have brought some chuckles but the two of them were dead serious, staring into one another’s hungry eyes.  “Last call for alcohol. You don’t hafta go home; you just gotta go. You can’t stay here,” the bartender hollered interrupting their locked gaze.People started to shuffle around them gathering their things, collecting their coats and umbrellas, leaving. Sailie and Dylan had just gotten fresh drinks, so they had a few minutes to whisper and touch before they would have to join the others and leave. Shortly, the bartender started turning on lights and flashing them dim to high. That was the universal message that before too long, they would stay on. Sailie and Dylan were unconcerned. They had nothing but one another in their shared look. And Sailie thought of the torch singer. The piano player stood, looked at Sailie and blew out the candle on her piano. In the flicker of the burning light, Sailie saw the invitation.Dylan broke his gaze, stood and took Sailie’s elbow. “We’d better leave before they have us arrested,” he said. And they smiled, knowingly, at one another. Sailie was hoping there would be better reasons ahead to get them both arrested. “Wait. Do you mind if I give my friend, Meesa, a ride home?”“Meesa?” Disappointment hung on his voice.“The piano player.”
“Oh…no, of course not. But, I have a small car.”“No problem. I mean, would you like to have a nightcap at my house? I’ll ride with you and Meesa can bring my car when she is finished here. She doesn’t have one. You don’t mind, do you?” What could he say sporting that hard-on?“No, I mean yes! I would love to come have a drink at your house and no, I don’t mind if she brings your car. I didn’t realize you were friends.”“Well, yes, we’ve been friends for a little while. I’ll explain later. Let me give her the keys.” As they rose to go, Sailie broke away from the man who had held her attention the entire night to the woman that held it now. She bent to the young woman’s ear as she slipped a twenty into the bountiful brandy snifter and inhaled the lavender fragrance she remembered so swell. Her aroma sent an electric bolt to the moist center of Sailie’s desire.“Come to my house when you are finished, won’t you?”“Yes, of course, I will. I’ve been watching you all night, both of you, but then you knew that,” the long-legged blond with the soft fingertips answered matter-of-factly.“Here are my keys. We’ll have a drink. You will come, promise? Do you remember how to get there?” “Of course, I said I will, Sailie. I’ll be here awhile cleaning up, but I should be there in about an hour. And yes, I remember how to get there. It hasn’t been that long—just last night.”“You don’t mind him, too, do you?” “Mind? Oh, lord Sailie, no. Are you fucking kidding? He’s gorgeous. And you look absolutely radiant. Is that an iridescent blush on your cheeks? You look beautiful.”“Thank you, sugar. No, it’s not blush but excitement and a little bit of cum. See ya at my house.”Sailie kissed her ear, the twenty safely tucked in the snifter, sucked her earlobe into her mouth with a little flick of her tongue and turned to the man that had her mojo melting.“Come on, Dylan. Are you ready to go? I’ll ride with you to my house.”“Ah, sure, Sailie. You, ah…you, ah, you kissed her…?”“Yes,” Sailie turned and wiggled a wave to Meesa. “We’re close.”“Oh, well, then…”
