There's not much to say...I was singularly unproductive in many ways in 2014, at least from a commercial perspective. But I like to think of it as a cocoon year, a year where ideas and concepts and characters rested and mingled and brewed into wha...

I love art, and I love Moore, so I loved this book. I was drawn in to the great history of the Impressionists, and the human core Moore gave his characters. As always, there's more than what's on the surface, and visiting 1920s Paris was a great trea ...more

I really enjoyed this book (and I don't always enjoy Neil Gaiman...heresy!) I didn't like Graveyard Game, but I really did like American Gods, largely because he mixes in myth, legend, and contemporary events seamlessly (okay, maybe not seamlessly... ...more

This book is fantastic, especially if you know the play. Moore is a master of humor and wordplay, but also injects great insight and metaphysical questions into all his fiction. Definitely read this.

“All in all, when I look at my dating life from the bigger perspective, it pretty much sucks. If it were a bar graph, and each guy were a different colored bar, and the side of the graph measured things like stupidity, lack of consideration, and overpowering lust, the colored bars of all the guys I’ve dated would crash through the top of the graph and rocket skyward like a testosterone-fueled rainbow.”

“here's the thing about friends, I mean REAL friends: You can't just put up a poster at school and advertise for somebody and then hope you find the perfect one. It might work, I guess, but you'd look so pathetic and desperate that no one would want to be your friend, and so it would be kind of pointless”
Laura Preble, The Queen Geek Social Club

“See that's it. You can't try to love somebody. You just do it.
