Killing wild animals ;(
Walter Palmer, the US dentist who killed Cecil the Lion in Zimbabwe, paid about £32,000 for the “pleasure”. He claims that he thought the hunt was legal and was unaware Cecil was protected.
Leaving aside the nature of the man who enjoys this type of murder, the fact is the kill could easily have been perfectly legal. How, in this day and age, can any country allow the massacre of such a
magnificent and endangered species? England is equally guilty with regard to foxes and badgers, it seems to be an unpleasant facet of human nature everywhere.
So, here’s an origami tribute to poor old Cecil.

I found this old photo from Freising when Kuni Kasahara was the guest at a convention. Here are some of my bestest friends in the origami world, at a launch for Kuni’s “The Joy Of Origami”. From L to R we have Paulo Mulatinho, Edwin Corrie, Kuni Kasahara, Heinz Strobl and myself.

Sun, sun sun, here it comes
It’s the hottest day of the year today and tomorrow I must brave the M25 to get to an origami video shoot. It may even require use of the air-con in the car! Worryingly, they want to see me in the video, not just my hands. Is the world ready for this?
