Back from Blogcation – Sort Of
Back from Blogcation – Sort Of
We returned from a wonderful week on a photography cruise in Alaska to a visit from out-of-state family, but all “good” things must come to an end. Laundry is done, the pantry and fridge are re-stocked, and it’s time to get back to work.
Step one: transfer everything to my new computer. According to the Hubster, who just did it for his new computer, this will take a couple of days. Meanwhile, I do have my little Surface tablet, so I won’t be totally out of co...

On Blogcation But Plenty for You
I’m taking a Blogcation this week. There’s a giveaway, so keep reading, but first, these messages from your sponsor.
I’ve been busy getting Deadly Assumptions ready for release. One of the steps in the process, even after the manuscript has been gone over several times, is to have Word read it to me. Because “Fred” (which is what I call the reader, although this time I chose Microsoft David’s voice), reads exactly what’s on the page, he has no expectations of what a word should be. There were...

RWA Conference Recap 6 – Search and Rescue Dogs
RWA Conference Recap 6 – Search and Rescue Dogs
I found one of the most interesting talks at RWA was presented by Kathleen Connor, who is a Search and Rescue dog handler from Virginia. I’ll try to recap the bullet points of her talk. Again, errors are mine either because I misunderstood or am misinterpreting my notes. Also, Connor was open to questions throughout, so some of these bullet points might seem “out of order.”

WCW – Instant Pot Now and Later Butter Chicken
My son made this Now and Later Butter Chicken and was very pleased with the results. He served his over cauliflower rice, and said it’s Keto–friendly. I plan to try it, but I’ll leave out the cilantro. The recipe came from the Instant Pot website. The photo is Jason’s.

5 or 6 garlic cloves minced

ATF Workshop Recap 5 from RWA
Here’s ATF Workshop Recap 5 from RWA
This covers the ATF’s Special Response Team. One of their agents was supposed to do the presentation, but real life often intervenes, and as it turned out, he was involved in an undercover operation at the time. For the record, all went well.
Here are my bullet points from that workshop.
If you’ve missed my earlier recaps, they’re here:

WCW – Dining at RWA
Dining at RWA
We’re getting ready to travel, so not much cooking going on. This week, it’s a look at some of the meals I enjoyed while in Denver for the Romance Writers of America conference.

ATF Workshop Recap 3 from RWA
ATF Workshop Recap 3
I’m continuing my recaps of the Kiss of Death ATF Presentations. Recap 1 is here. Recap 2 is here. Again, because time for each presenter was short, and they were presenting much longer workshops condensed to 30 minutes, things moved quickly. Any errors are my own, either because I couldn’t take notes fast enough, or I misunderstood.
Today’s post covers explosives investigations. Our presenter was SA Rebecca Sauerhaft, a Certified Explosives Specialist. These agents are t...
