I know I’ve mentioned that I print out hard copies of scenes as I finish them, because reading a printed page is different from reading on a computer screen. New and different things pop out. It’s also a way for me to get a jump start on the next day’s work as I make the changes I’ve noted on the hard copy read.

Normally, once I’ve marked up the pages and made my changes, I put them into my husband’s pri...

Killer in Crinolines Tote(***Cat not included***)

I’m a foodie. Guess that’s why I’m on a forever diet. Didn’t say I kept it, just that I was on it.
I live in Cincinnati, where North meets South…or North is separated from South, depending on your point of view. If it’s fireworks...

Friday Field Trip — Williamsburg VA

Deborah Sandidge and I traveled to Williamsburg, Virginia to teach a creative digital photography class. Over the course of three days, we showed our students a variety of creative photography techniques, including composition, perspective, long exposures, infrared photography, and creative digital processing. All of these techniques help out when you’re traveling somewhere and you want to get photographs that aren’t the run of the mill snapshots. By combining new techniques, our students got...

In the Interview Room — F. M. Meredith

[image error]Today I welcome F. M. Meredith aka Marilyn Meredith to the Interview Room, where she reveals a few secrets. She’s giving away THREE books, so be sure to leave a comment.

Setting: real, totally made up, or based on a real place?

The beach town of Rocky Bluff is located between Ventura and Santa Barbara and is not a real place, but it is very much like many small beach communities that I’ve known and one that I lived in for over twenty years.

What’s on your desk?

Of course my computer and monitor,...
