Quick note about Twitter vs blogs
So Twitter was down on Wednesday and people responded in a big way. I would do the same if you cut off my daily Dr. Pepper. It's called addiction. The best article about the shutdown pointed out we have all abandoned our own blogs and web sites in favor of these social networks, then we become dependent on them in a big way (re: Haitian relief efforts, war protests and info). Which in turn means we've just lost our networking independence and built a new CBS, or New York Times, aka a giant...

Discussing Echo 17 and more…
Talked about Echo 17 and beyond at Newsarama recently, plus the who, what, where, why and how on the whole Phi thing.
Dallas Comic Con
While I finish work on Echo #19, thought I'd better post that I'm going to be at the Dallas Comic Con this January 30, Saturday only. I will be sketching, I will bring copies of the SiP Omnibus (not too late to buy yours online!) for sale (btw: a small sketch in Book One is included w/ the purchase), and I will bring a box of the popular Shocker Toys Katchoo figure, because people were grabbing those like crazy at San Diego (we were surprised how fast they went! Guess people liked what they s...

Omnibus For You!
Yes, we still have a limited number of the Strangers In Paradise Omnibus available. I think the stores are sold out by now, but you still have a chance to purchase one of these monster, 3-book collections directly from us, and since you're ordering straight from our warehouse, which is near the studio, I will be happy to sign and dedicate the books to you. If you ask real nice, I will even do a small sketch. Shhh, don't tell anybody else I said that though.
Happy New Year, everybody! I am so g...

Finishing a 3 issue binge on Monday with the completion of Echo 18. I just had to catch up from the summer conventions that put me behind schedule. The schedule said we'd have 18 out before 2010, so I really had to put books out one after another this fall to make the goal. Happy to say I made it, and I love the issues in question. It was tempting to do an entire issue of a polar bear in a snowstorm, or everybody trapped in a totally black cave, but I didn't. I'm saving those beloved jewels f...

Omnibus Update… delayed but coming!
First, we want to thank everyone for your patience regarding the Strangers in Paradise Omnibus delivery. Although we received a portion of our shipment in San Diego, due to numerous delays by the printer, the bulk of the Omnibus sets will not arrive at our warehouse until the week of September 20.
After much discussion with Robert Sofia-Conte and Albert Hakim of Laserwave Printing, we have learned that the remaining slipcases were damaged and are being replaced, which has further delayed the s...
