The Loose Conspirators

My novels are written from the study of real life. My observations are that there seems to always be a close knit group that is involved in the deepest of conspiracies.Whether it is government or business it does not matter; somewhere there will be a nucleus of the worst people. From the center though always spins a galaxy of people who through manipulation or deceit become part of the universe of the guilty.When business is caught in the manipulations of a conspiracy it is easy for the everyman to laugh in the face of the explanations; usually it is simply greed that is the underlying issue and not the excuses offered by the CEO’s and boards.However in government, it is often much more difficult to determine where the line was crossed. So often a solution is offered to real problems and if only enough money was involved our government heroes could fix it.This “establishment” is both left and right; they offer this solution to you always with a certain amount of panic and desperation so that the gravitational pull of their own desires can pull in the emotions of a least 30% of the population.And this is how some well-meaning individuals; nowhere near the center of the plans, find themselves circling the powerful, hoping beyond hope to earn favor, to get some of the light, and ultimately help the evil doers.Vast amounts of money are extracted from the tax revenue (and borrowed sums). Study groups are formed and paid; all kinds of research groups are funded. Money from some of the paid groups ultimately is returned to the politicians as campaign donations. Some money makes it to foundations and/or charities that then funnel money back to the political groups that in turn help to finance the politician next campaign.Often times, in all these scenarios, the problems NEVER get solved yet all that money continues to orbit around Washington DC; the circular swamp.Oh how the ruling class squealed during this last election! A business man, one who never held a political office his entire life, can’t become president!All of you whom create something for a living- think about your process and how satisfying it is when you can step back and see your work accomplished. This is the builders’ attitude that the establishment most fears!How could they continue to siphon trillions from our nation if problems were solved and not left out there to fester and become worse?So don’t be a nay-sayer if you peruse my novels, these things could happen. Do not think that all of any group is part of an evil plan, some are “just following orders” others worry about bonuses, pensions, or simply keeping themselves employed.But, if you travel towards the center, where the money and gravity is the strongest, you will find the enemy. The real question then becomes…what are we going to do about it?Or maybe, you couldn’t wait to be “fundamentally transformed.”

What’s between the persons ears that creates the conspiracy/thriller atmosphere.What is motivating the protagonist?How can the anti-hero make the choices that jeopardize his/her own safety?I enjoy imagining the things that a character has experienced to motivate the actions that they take.In real life, I have conducted thousands of interviews of shoplifters and workers. It is amazing to listen and watch how people can talk themselves into making terrible choices.Whose decisions are the most dangerous is your own choice to make; is it the scientist in “An Emerald Abyss?”Is it Gordan Hudde’s choices in “A Deep Purple Hue?”Is it the FBI in “A Hint of Silver?”Is it the cartel in “An Angry Orange Sky?”Maybe it is my own choices made in “A Retail Investigator?”Contact me and let me know what you believe!

America’s Second Amendment

They say write what you care about. A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.I care about this country.I see troubles and problems everywhere I look, but I love this country and what it has stood for- free people who are self-governed.Last week I was in a public waiting room and the news from the TV started talking about guns. I groaned as I listened.A guy across the room said “they just don’t get it.”“No I don’t believe they do” I replied.The guy then began to give me his bonafides in gun ownership.“Where I disagree with the NRA” he said “is hunters don’t need AR’s to hunt.”I shook my head sadly. “I hear this on TV all the time” I said to him “but the second amendment has nothing to do with hunting or personal defense.”“Really?”“The second amendment allows for the people of the country to defend against tyranny from within or out; hunting and personal defense are bonuses from this God given right.”“Yea but that was written way back in the 1800’s” he said.“Late 1700’s actually, but it doesn’t change the meaning.”That ended the conversation.Here is a good research page to understand just exactly the founding fathers were thinking: http://www.madisonbrigade.com/library_bor_2nd_amendment.htmIf the late 1700’s was too long ago, think about Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto whom famously is quoted as saying "I fear all we have done is awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve." [upon learning of the success of the Japanese raid on Pearl Harbor]He also is quoted as saying that an invasion of America would be unsuccessful: "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind each blade of grass."Would that have changed since the 1950’s? I doubt it.There are arguments to be had, but the meaning of the second amendment is not one of them, it is clearly for the population of America to be armed and prepared to defend this nation.If you are one who insists that “a well-regulated militia” means otherwise, tell me, who armed the men of the revolution? Which state supplied the arms?Anyway, I write some violent, weapon laden stories; read them while you can.

Golf & Writing

I think it was 1986.I just came to consciousness after my first knee surgery and the Army surgeon was hovering nearby.I’ll never forget his words to me:“Do you play golf, because it’s the only sport you will be participating in going forward?”Jump ahead to about 1994; I started working with some guys who liked golf. I went out and bought an $89.00 dollar full set (with bag) and with no lessons and very little “range time” just started going to the course to play.My first shot was the “whiff” but the favorite shot was the “topper”, I slowly improved to the “worm burner.”I didn’t learn the differences between woods, iron, steel, or titanium clubs. I didn’t learn about the courses or the architects that built them; I just played.Of course playing in upstate NY meant about three months of the year and twice-o-month if you we lucky. I probably went from a 100 handicapper to a 50-60ish in a three year period.Then I moved to “golf-heaven” and I started playing once a week- I even tried to hit golf balls on a range once a week as well. Now I cut another 20 strokes from my game; pros didn’t need worry with my 120 scores!I then took a lesson. Yea (a) - (1) lesson and I practiced! I actually got to where I once shot 9 over! I probably averaged about a 20 handicapper at the end.Writing is similar, I’m not going to go out and learn “more better” grammar, I had my chance many moons ago (and now I can pay for that, and I do!)So with just the love of reading and what I believe to be a good imagination, off I went.Four fiction novels later and I thought maybe I should slow down and check on things I can improve on.So this year, while I plan to continue writing a novel; no more publishing expense’s until I can learn a few other items.I found this site: https://booksgosocial.com/I purchased a service and they are helping me to improve my Amazon description and do some targeted advertising for “A Deep Purple Hue”Check out the updated page when you have a moment, let me know what you think!

Of Shitholes, Hellholes, 3rd World, and Cesspools.

I’ve been in all three, and I awake each day thanking God that I was born in America. I love the idea of the independent spirit and the fight that America went through to become a nation.Not to say that I can’t imagine feeling a similar sense of pride for many different nations out there if I had been born in them.I see many of those great nations out there that appear to have Hellholes in them; can’t you?I have been in Hellholes here in America; it may consist of blocks in an area or an entire city. If you live or have traveled in America and can’t admit the same, you are not an honest person.I used to conduct security and catch shoplifters; I quickly realized that there is a class of human that exists like a shark, always moving, always looking for a way to take advantage of situations/people. They cannot walk past a woman with her purse exposed without taking the wallet, they can’t drive by an open and seemingly unattended garage without stopping and stealing, they are often pack animals that prey on the weak and helpless.Washington DC is a Cesspool, filled with people as I have described above except for the fact that they dress better and their scams generate much greater windfalls.I write about some harsh, crazy, and evil things, it is not to offend but to make a point while (trying to be) entertaining. What say you?
