Letzte Woche habe ich nicht mitgemacht, weil mir kein schönes Cover eingefallen ist, das ich mit euch hätte teilen wollen. Heute aber kam mir sofort Eines in den Sinn. Bin gespannt, was ihr dazu sagt. Cover Monday wurde von Maura von the emotional life of books ins Leben gerufen. Schaut doch mal  bei ihr vorbei. :)

Juli. Juli. Juli. Ich bin fassungslos. Ein halbes Jahr ist schon vorbei? Wie geht das? Und wo ist das schöne Wetter? Ich heule gleich. Meeeh ... Starten wir die Woche also mit etwas Schönem. Dem Cover Monday, von Maura von The Emotional Life of Books ins Leben berufen. 

I'll Meet You There - Heather Demetrios
Das Cover hat mich sofort angesprochen und ist etwas, das ich besonders in den Sommermonaten gerne aufgreife. Als Hardcover sieht es bestimmt super gut aus Das Gesamtkonzept ist einfach stimmig und ja, die Story klingt auch interessant. :D 
Inhalt: If seventeen-year-old Skylar Evans were a typical Creek View girl, her future would involve a double-wide trailer, a baby on her hip, and the graveyard shift at Taco Bell. But after graduation, the only thing standing between straightedge Skylar and art school are three minimum-wage months of summer. Skylar can taste the freedom that is, until her mother loses her job and everything starts coming apart. Torn between her dreams and the people she loves, Skylar realizes everything she's ever worked for is on the line.

»«. Reading Month June

Hey, ihr Lieben :) Im Juni habe ich insgesamt 12 Bücher gelesen, was zu einem großen Teil der Falling Kingdoms Reihe von Morgan Rhodes zu verdanken ist. Ich hab die vier bisher erschienen Bücher innerhalb von sechs Tagen gelesen, weil sie mich einfach so süchtig gemacht haben. Ich halte es nicht aus, bis im Dezember der neue Band erscheint. *wein* Immerhin gibt es mit The Books of Spirits and Thieves einen Spin-Off, der mich etwas vertröstet hat. Teil 2 kam vor zwei Tagen bei mir an und den werde ich demnächst dann auch lesen. 
Highlight. Frozen Tides von Morgan Rhodes. Das ist der 4. Teil der Falling Kingdoms Reihe und hatte einfach alles, was ich erwartet hatte und noch viel mehr. Ich kann die Reihe einfach jedem empfehlen, der gerne fluffiges High Fantasy mit viel Drama und Liebe lesen möchte. Gut auch für Einsteiger im High Fantasy Bereich. 
Enttäuschung. Death Marked von Leah Cypess. Der 2. Teil von Death Sworn. Nach Teil 1, der mir eigentlich ziemlich gut gefallen hat, war Death Marked eine wahre Enttäuschung. Da wäre einfach noch viel Potenzial gewesen, das die Autorin einfach nicht ausgeschöpft hat. Sehr schade. :( Aber immerhin war es nur eine Dilogie und ich muss mich durch keinen 3. Teil quälen.

Whooop :D Letzte Woche hab ich ja ausgesetzt, dafür bin ich jetzt wieder voll mit dabei. Das Lektorat zu ekarub ist fast abgeschlossen und ich hab wieder mehr Luft. Dann starten wir die Woche doch direkt mit dem Cover Monday initiiert von Maura auf ihrem Blog The emotional Life of Books.

The Bronze Horseman - Paullina Simons 
Normalerweise mag ich eher bunte Cover, aber das hier hat auch meine Aufmerksamkeit auf sich gezogen. Es ergibt mit der Schrift und dem Bild eine schöne, elegante Komposition. Das Buch ist außerdem auf meiner Wunschliste gelandet. :)

Die Woche ist so schnell vergangen, ich komme gar nicht mehr mit. Und das Schlimme ist, ich bekomme trotz meiner eigentlich freien Zeit kaum was geschafft. Dabei muss ich mich ganz dringend dem Lektorat von EKARUB widmen *seufz* Aber starten wir den Montag wie üblich mit dem Cover Monday von Maura auf ihrem Blog The Emotional Life of Books initiiert. <3 

The Unexpected Everything - Morgan Matson
Wow, einmal kein Fantasycover. Das ist fast schon eine Premiere. Aber nur fast. Das Cover ist einfach der Wahnsinn und weckt in mir sofort Sommergefühle. Da passiert so viel drauf und ist lustig und retro und einfach toll. Normalerweise lese ich nicht so gerne Contemporary YA, aber hier mache ich definitiv ne Ausnahme. <3 
Wie gefällt es euch? 
Worum geht's?Andie has a plan. And she always sticks to her plan.

Future? A top-tier medical school.
Dad? Avoid him as much as possible (which isn’t that hard considering he’s a Congressman and he’s never around).
Friends? Palmer, Bri, and Toby—pretty much the most awesome people on the planet, who needs anyone else?

So it’s no surprise that Andie’s got her summer all planned out too.

Ja, ich bin etwas sehr spät dran, aber man möge es mir vergeben. :D Im Mai habe ich insgesamt vierzehn Bücher gelesen, was wieder Mal Rekord ist bzw. im April habe ich auch 14 geschafft, wenn ich mich richtig erinnere. Läuft also ziemlich gut an der Lesefront.
Highlight: A Court of Mist and Fury von Sarah J. Maas - Der zweite Teil hat mich einfach umgehauen. Die Welt, die SJM in ACOTAR erschaffen hat, wurde jetzt erst vollkommen ausgeschöpft und erklärt. Es war mir ein FEST, dieses Buch zu lesen und empfehle es jedem Fantasyliebhaber. [zur Rezension]
Enttäuschung: The Rose & The Dagger von Renee Ahdieh - Der Abschluss der Dilogie war enttäuschend. In den ersten 200 Seiten ist einfach nichts Nennenswertes passiert und mittlerweile kann ich mich kaum an die Story erinnern. Es war sehr traurig, da mir The Wrath & The Dawn so gut gefallen hat. :/

Windwitch (Witchland #2) - Susan Dennard
Heute habe ich mich für den zweiten Teil der Witchland Novel entschieden. Wie beim Cover von Truthwitch sind die Farben hier sehr blass, fast schon ineinander laufend. Der Titel steht im Vordergrund. Die Blätter, die herumwirbeln erinnern mich an Herbst und damit auch an Wind, was perfekt zum Titel passt. :)

Heute habe ich mich für dieses elegante, hübsche Cover von einer meiner Lieblingsautorinnen entschieden. Normalerweise bin ich nicht so der ChickLit Fan, aber von SEP kann ich einfach alles lesen. Das Buch erscheint im Sommer und ich freue mich schon total drauf *-* Das wird toll! Wie gefällt es euch?

Endlich darf ich es verraten. In meinem Buch »Ein Käfig aus Rache und Blut« wird es insgesamt 5 Illustrationen geben, die die liebe und talentierte Künstlerin Anja Uhren zeichnen wird! Ich bin überglücklich über diese Zusammenarbeit! Mittlerweile gibt es auch schon Entwürfe, die ich jeden Tag auf meiner Facebook Seite präsentieren werde. :D
Am Ende der Woche gibt es hier dann nochmal eine Zusammenfassung <3 Außerdem bin ich nun bei Wattpad angemeldet, damit ich da das erste Kapitel von #Ekarub hochladen kann ^_^ 
Am Donnerstag startet dann noch der erste von mir veranstaltete #LLReadAThon16, an dem ihr natürlich auch gerne mitmachen könnt. Schreibt mich einfach an oder betretet die FB Gruppe :)

Nachdem ich letzte Woche aus Mangel eines mich begeisterndes Cover ausgesetzt habe, geht es diese Woche wieder weiter. Das Wetter lässt momentan sehr zu Wünschen übrig, weshalb ich eigentlich nichts anderes machen kann, außer Neuerscheinungen durchzuwurschteln xD Cover Monday wurde von Maura von the emotional life of books ins Leben gerufen. :)


Sarah J. Maas - Empire of Storms

Dies ist der fünfte Teil der Throne of Glass Reihe und von den Covern gefällt es mir am besten. Dieser Feuerstreifen bietet einen coolen Kontrast zu diesem blaugrauen Hintergrund und ich mag die Klamotten von Caelena. :D Sieht wieder sehr episch aus.
