Q: Why was this story important for you to tell?

A: Not every love story starts perfectly. Sometimes we have to go through some hard times before we find ourselves and realize loving ourselves is the longest lasting romance you'll ever have. This then allows you to truly love others.

Q: What is something you hope the readers take away from your story?

A: That you can restart no matter how old you are and no matter what happens. Every day is a new start.

Q: Tell us a bit about your story.

A: This heroine thought her happy life (which was really a mess) came crashing down and sometimes you need to hit rock bottom to rise like a phoenix.

Q: If you could live the life of one single character in your story, who would it be and why?

A: As much as I would say my main character Zara, I actually would love to be Valerie, the bakery owner and only sole human friend out of the girlfriend group. She is a foil to Zara in that she doesn't get to have magic but has a son who is a bear shifter and is surrounded by supernatural beings. And yet, she's content to be a support to everyone else and live her life as it is rather than wishing it was something else.

Q: How long have you been writing?

A: I've been a full-time writer for four years after years of writing in all different genres. But now I've found what I love to write and absolutely enjoy my job!

Q: Tell us a bit about your story.

A: As if turning forty-four and receiving your powerful familial magic wasn't enough, now Zara Greystone has to navigate the mayhem of dating for the first time in over twenty years. When she tries out paranormal dating apps, she finds out that online trolls and ghosting take on whole new meanings. Find out if she survives in Spell of a Time.

Christine Gael: The Bargain

Aged to Perfection Author Spotlight:  Christine Gael Title: The BargainAbout Christine Gael

Christine Gael is the USA Today bestselling women’s fiction writing alter-ego of USA Today Bestselling contemporary romance author, Christine Bell, and NYT Bestselling paranormal romance author, Chloe Cole.

WebsiteNewsletterFacebook PageTwitter Instagram TikTokClick here to preorder Aged to Perfection.Christine GaelAuthor Q&A

Q: What's a misconception about midlife that you'd like to clear up?

A: That it's all bad! I have actually never felt more self-assured, happy or confident (despite the hot flashes, hip pain, and gray hair lol!)

Q: Tell us about your experience writing a book for the Aged to Perfection Anthology.

A: It's been such a great experience. All the ladies (and gentleman) in this anthology are great writers, and bring so much creativity to the table. I am as excited to read the other stories as I was to write mine!

Q: Tell us a bit about your story.

A: Let's see...so I'd say it's a modern twist on the Rumpelstiltskin trope. My heroine is faced with losing her granddaughter to a terminal illness and in that desperate moment, she makes a terrible bargain that changes the course of her entire life. It's part urban fantasy, with lots of werewolves and vampires and battle scenes, but part love story, with a heavy dollop of humor.

Q: Do you have a writing routine?

A: I pants and write late at night. Iced coffee with a healthy squirt of chocolate syrup in a Yeti cup is my best friend.

Q: Do you have a personal connection with any of the characters in your story? Does one resonate with you more than the others?

A: There is a little part of me in every character I write. And with some of them, I stress the word little. However, picking one character is like Sophie's Choice for me. I love all of them.

Q: Tell us a bit about your story.

A: A forty-something Shifter supermodel, five supernaturally screwed-up bridesmaids, and a demonic mother of the groom determined to ruin the wedding. This marriage is going to Hell. Literally.

ATP ChariseAuthor Q&A

Q: What's a misconception about midlife that you'd like to clear up?

A: We are not obsolete or past our prime. We are the precise opposite of that, smarter, wiser, focused, practiced, resolute, innovative, seasoned. The idea that beauty and desirability are traits that belong solely to women under 40 is the most preposterous and damaging offshoot of Madison Avenue modern advertising tropes there has ever been. I look around at my friends who are over 40, and I am awestruck at the everything-ness that they encompass. One friend just turned 70 this year, and she is the most vibrant, brilliant, beautiful human I know...still writing, editing, dating, and falling in love. We didn't grow up knowing that was a possibility. But now we are creating a new paradigm for ourselves, and the women who will come along after us. Also, sex after 40 is way hotter and more fun than anyone ever told us. We know ourselves, our likes and dislikes, our bodies. It's honestly the best kept secret of midlife.

Q: What was your favorite part of writing Paranormal Women's Fiction?

A: The relationship between the sisters. While the main story revolves around two sisters in their forties, there are three generations of sisters in this story. While I was writing it, I was missing my own sister. She lives in Louisville, KY, while I live in Los Angeles. My heart has ached all through the pandemic that I couldn't just hug her. Writing this story brought the spirit of our being reunited back to my mind and heart. We have had to work at our relationship. But no matter the bumps in the road, we are one another's fiercest allies and protectors. And there is no one who can make us laugh like we do with each other. Our kids always know when we are talking, because we sound like we are 16-years-old, giggling as we tell our secrets. Writing this story brought all of that into play for me.

Q: Tell us a bit about your story.

A: The story is ultimately about family, the sacred bond that sisters can have with one another, and the ancestral traditions and ties that bind us to each other. But it is also about the possibility that romantic love is out there for each of us, simply waiting for the right time to make its arrival into our lives.
