She has roughly a week to do it. Solving a centuries-old mystery seems like a more interesting proposition than the other situations Marina is facing, so she accepts his challenge. But her search for a magical item of power reveals far more about Marina than she ever knew. Maybe enough to save the world. And even herself.
My Thoughts: “Wrong side of 40? More like the right side of funny and a fantastic read from Jana DeLeon!” It’s no secret that I love Jana DeLeon’s Miss Fortune series. It should come as no surprise that I adored her PWF book, Wrong Side of Forty. I really, really wish that she’d make it a series. Like every book Jana writes, the characters come to life. If you’re looking for a fantastic read, you’re going to love this book and Marina’s journey.

Ebook Piracy
I’m not getting into the debate about ebook piracy because my stance has been the same for nearly twenty years. No amount of debate is going to sway me on it. There are plenty of places to get free ebooks legally, and I am always running promotions giving away select titles for free. All of my book series have had a run in Kindle Unlimited at some point. Some were in it for three years. Most of my titles are available for libraries to carry.
Needless to say, I’m against having my books pirated and do everything I can to stop it. I’m going to link to some articles here. They’re on my husband’s site. He runs a DMCA Takedown Service for Authors (if that tells you anything about my stance on piracy). LOL

Heat Ratings and More
Heat Ratings for Romance BooksIf you’re like me, you love a steamy romance novel. But sometimes it’s hard to know how hot a book is going to be before you start reading. That’s why I decided to put together a list of heat ratings and more for my books. Now you can pick your next read based on how much sweaty action you’re in the mood for!
1. Sweet – These books have minimal sexual content and focus mostly on building a strong emotional connection between the characters. Great for those who are new to romance novels or looking for something light-hearted.
2. Warm – This level of heat includes some physical intimacy, but it is still tender and romantic rather than graphic. Perfect for those looking for some gentle romance.
3. Steamy – Hot and heavy, these books tend to include more explicit sex scenes and lots of passionate moments between the characters. Some readers may find them too intense.
4. Spicy – These are the hottest of hot reads, with frequent and graphic sexual content as well as emotionally charged interactions between the characters. Not for the faint of heart!
So now you know exactly how hot your next read will be before you dive in. Enjoy!
