Metronome
Another story finished!
This one is about a turn of the century doctor who is stumped by a patient showing up at his 'behavioring' hospital who moves in such a way that he keeps time with the second hand of his watch. No treatment works or helps the young man.
He is further stumped when four more patients displaying the same phenomena show up all in perfect time with the original.
What causes it?
What will stop it?

Bait
Just finished a story called 'Bait'. It was inspired by the homeless gentleman that live in the bushes along a street I frequent every day. Sometimes, he's quite talktative while other times he seems in the grips of some mania. It made me wonder about what triggers his manic episodes. After refusing my help, it became important for me to the story down.

Dark Monsters
Two of my pieces will be appearing in the Zimbell House Dark Monsters Anthology due out early next year.
The first story 'Snatcher of Souls' is about a little girl that enjoys tossing stones into the fountain at a local park. An elderly gentleman soon finds out there is far more to the little girl and her pebbles.
The second is 'Moving Day'. Two brothers are curious about the locked garage of their new house. The realtor didn't have a key to open it and agreed to send a locksmith in the morning. Worried anything valuable would be lost if they didn't get it first, the brothers hatch a plan to break in and soon discover something that wasn't meant to be disturbed.

Hidden in Plain Sight
I was just contacted that my story 'The Resilient Penny' has been selected to appear in the 'Hidden in Plain Sight' anthology due out later this year. It is both a print and e-book publication.
The story is about Darby, a young man, with a wizened grandmother, that tells him that every person has a resilient penny. Not everyone finds their penny, but those that do reap the benefits. It looks just like any other penny so sometimes people don't even realize they've found theirs. However, there are dire consequences if anyone mentions the resilient penny to another person
Does Darby find his? Have you found yours?

Another Story Sold :-)
Latest New Realm issue will have my story 'Do You See The Leprechaun?' It will be out by the end of the week.
Have you seen one of those stereographic picture displays where you stare at the pattern and a hidden picture shows itself? I used to think those were pretty cool.
An elderly man and his post in the atrium located at one end of the local mall is invaded by just such a display. His impatience over hearing the constant questions of the patrons trying to see what's hidden in the pictures doesn't go unnoticed.
