The Tesla Fascist

2nd spotted in Cambridge this week...the 1st was up in Huron Village. Seen one, seen 'em all. If it had a model name...like Silverado, or Sierra, or Tacoma...maybe...? Okay, here it is:  the 2025 Tesla Fascist!

1964 Ford Falcon

Every now and then it turns top on your block, and so on these pages. Owner says he "bought it to drive it" and he certainly does, buthe  takes care of it too. Close to all-original paint, mostly-original everything else, with a few upgrades. Year-round driver. Owner sleeps in the car sometimes when he's on a job in Cambridge. An otherwise unsung car like this is close to the heart and soul of Autoliterate. A plainjane, but...let's see how your Tesla truck looks and drives after 60 years.

Mystery Ride

Basha Burwell caught this unit rolling east on MA 2 between Concord and Cambridge. What have we here? A German Ford from the 1960s?  A Toyota of that era? A European mkt. Volvo? Help.

Chevrolet Apache 31, Colorado

From Markus Anstadt: "Needs work...but awesome Colorado patina. Spotted in Glenwood Springs."Our Women Who Weld post featured a 1957 Apache. And Alex caught a 1958 Chevrolet Apache 36 up–where else– in Saskatchewan. And a couple more 1958 Chevrolet Apache 31's. The next-era Apaches started with this 1960 Chevrolet Apache 20, in Colorado Springs.

1971 International 1100 4x4

For sale in Salida CO and on Hemmings. No reserve. We caught an International L-110 on a visit to Salida a while back. Also this 1968 Dodge D-200.  And of course we have posted lots of Internationals, like this R-120.

Lotus Evora S Cambridge, Mass.

Okay, yeah, we'd like to drive it. But in style it doesn't compare, we think, to the Maserati we posted yesterday.  Kinda bulgy. SylvesterStallone-esque. Tries too hard.  We caught another Evora in Brooklin, Maine last year. And then there is this 1967  Lotus Elan, which brought back some memories.

Maserati GT coupe

Something about Italianita. Grace and style and a sort of  understatement. You're Italian, good design comes naturally, it's the way of things. That's why a Maserati can slip by almost unnoticed the way a Corvette or a Lotus (upcoming post) can't. They have to make a statement, and they try so hard. Caught this bambino outside Harvard Yard. A couple blocks from where we spotted the convertible edition last spring. Ciao, Bella.

Deer Isle Ride: 1953 Chevrolet

Deer Isle, Maine. We caught another 1953 Chevrolet 210 in Freeport, ME awhile back. And we posted a 1953 Pontiac Chieftain in N.J. And then there was this beauty of 1953 Chevrolet 3800 up in Canada.

The Isuzu: Wood Fired Love

Always had a thing for these Isuzu COE's. European and Japanese trucks are allowed to look like trucks and not bombastic dream machines, like behemoth US pickups of today. This unit was on duty at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Cambridge.
