Tonka, etc.

From Stephen Hendrickson, in PA:  "A  few snaps seen at flea markets..a group I got at a yard sale and sent to Michael Moore for his collection...I’m always on the lookout and go to every flea and yard sale I can find out here."

In Canada, it was Dinkys. See our post, Perils of Memory.

1964 Pontiac Catalina droptop

This car is on the block at Hemmings. You know our thing for Catalina convertibles, in West Texas or elsewhere...like Banff, Alberta.

1963 GMC C-10 SWB

From Markus Anstadt: "Seems the interior has been reworked but the rest looked pretty original. Spotted in Durango, Colorado."Here's a different version of the truck, in LA

1952 Plymouth Cranbrook. Saskatchewan

From Alex Emond: "In a vacant lot down near Rockglen, Saskatchewan.  Don't know if that is patina or black mould, but, really, the body, glass and trim are all there. It's a two-door, as well, which is a plus. I like this era of rounded, blunt–looking cars. Almost cartoonish . Exactly my age, which is something that I factor into the appeal. It's an ugly duckling now, but mayl get a transformation someday."AL: bunch of Plymouth links in yesterday's post on a '38 Plymouth Deluxe Touring Sedan.

1940 Plymouth Deluxe Touring Sedan

We posted a 1948 Plymouth DeLuxe, still with the suicide doors. (Posted the nifty little Citroën a couple weeks ago.) And here is another '48 Plymouth in Massachusetts.

1967 Ford Fairlane 500

From Reid Cunningham: " A little worn around the edges, but it would make a nice candidate for a restoration given that it is a convertible.   Not a barn burner, but the 289 would make for nice cruising on the weekend–and easier on the wallet at the pump."

AL: Fairlane? Have we got Fairlanes!? Start with this mild- mannered 1968 Ford Fairlane sedan in NJ. Then a  prom queen '56 Ford Fairlane Sunliner. A down-to-business '56 Ford Fairlane coupe in No. Calif. A 1958 Ford Fairlane Skyliner from PA. Oh, and the 1964 Ford Fairlane wagon we used in that shoot for LL Bean. And every time I try to write Fairlane, it auto corrects to Hairline.
