1970 Plymouth Duster

From Reid Cunninghame in Bedford, NH. "Best guess is 1970 or '71 Plymouth Duster.  It's missing all the insignia so can't really tell engine, model or such.  Looks to be a rolling restoration, I'm in favor of driving and working on cars at the same time.  Why miss out enjoying them on the road even if the cosmetics are a work in progress?"

Sunbeam Tiger (Mk I)

Sunbeam built these in the UK in the Sixties; the Mk I Tiger (1964-67) is a Sunbeam Alpine stuffed with a Ford V8. AL caught this car at Motorland in Arundel, Maine.

1990 Ford Country Squire LX

Last of the Bombasts. AL loves these vinyl wagons. We posted a 1985 Country Squire last summer.  We caught a 1968 Ford County Squire for sale in the Netherlands while we were living there. They were selling a nice 1967 Country Squire at Motorland a couple years back. And we've posted Mercury Colony Park wagons, same era– one in Blue Hill Maine a few weeks ago; another we came upon in Somerville, Mass. And then there is Jane Hilbery's poem, "Country Squire"

1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass

from Reid Cunningham, in Pittsburgh, PA. "Seen in front of Heinz Field, where the Steelers play, but probably parked there for the Pirates game happening a few blocks away.  The 442 stripes added to this regular Cutlass are a nice touch. "

AL knows a '71 Cutlass convertible in Marfa, Texas. And a 1967 Olds Cutlass convertible in Blue Hill, Maine. And a 1964 Olds Cutlass F-85 out in Banff. You find more if you try our search widget. I believe Cutlass was the best-selling car brand in North America in the late Sixties .

1973 Chevelle coupe

From Reid Cunningham: I pulled into a gas station in Brookline, NH to fill up and was surprised when someone came out to pump the gas (I'm not in NJ!)  then surprised again when I saw this 1973 Chevelle.  Turned out the owner was the one running the pump so we had a conversation.

It runs the original 307 small block.  I remembered the 307 was essentially a 283 block with a 327 crankshaft. (My head is stuffed with the most useless information).  A quick search revealed this was the last year for the 307, it was the base V8 in any number of Chevys, only available with a 2 barrel and churning out an underwhelming 115 hp.  A sad end to the mighty 283 family that powered Corvettes and Super Sports with multiple carburetors and even fuel injection.  '73 was the first year of the midsized colonnade cars.  I think this two door is quite handsome and I like the round taillights that were a bit of a retro touch for the time.

1971 Volvo 144, Maine.

Matt Dallett caught the car at the Co-Op in Blue Hill. AL knows this car, and knows that it's tucked away every winter.  Here's a 1971 Volvo 164 we caught a while ago in Bath, Maine.

1961 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 wagon.

Came upon the wagon on a trip to the Hi Lo country a while back. Can't remember exactly, but it was in East Colorado, somewhere between Boise City, Oklahoma and Colorado Springs. High and dry; the No-Rust Belt. I think the wagon was being streetified. A born sleeper.
