...like a Ford C-600 from NH that we posted a while back And how about a real-life 1947 Dodge COE we saw in Colorado?

1978 Dodge Power Wagon

From Reid Cunningham: With the 4th of July tomorrow, this 1978 Power Wagon with the US flag is right in theme.  The window description gives it's unusual history.  Bedford NH, I may have sent you a distant picture of this as part of a collection of trucks, but now it's for sale.  My car is at the end of its life, this would make a fun replacement (well, except at the gas pump, even with the 318 it would be very thirsty).  Alas, I don't think anyone would give a loan on a 78 along with other limitations of driving a 42 year old truck every day.

AL: we've run other Power Wagons of this era, and earlier GI versions.

1990 Volvo 240 wagon

The definitive Volvo of the era. Does it get any more Volvo than this? BTW, we posted on a very clean 1978  244 sedan for sale in Maine a while back. And here's a post on the Cambridge Volvo 240 pack

1962 Chevy II

Oxford County in western Maine. The Chevy II was introduced in 1962: the Nova was originally the top model in the Chevy II lineup but ended up taking it over. This car looks like it might be spending some time at the nearly Oxford Plains Speedway.

1954 Kaiser Manhattan

Saw the K-car on a blazing hot day in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Never have seen New England looking quite so dry at this time of year.  The last Kaiser we ran was that 1951 Kaiser Traveler here in Maine. And a bunch more Kaiser encounters are posted within that Traveler post.

1968 Ford Mustang convertible

Watertown, MA . A second-generation pony car in all its glory. Owner said he was in the Iaraeli Army in 1969, hitchhiking across the Negev Desert, when a red Mustang convertible passed him by and he thought to himself, "Hey,  I want one of those!" Twenty-five years later his children bought him this one. Another American dream machine.

1980s Land Rover Series II

Caught the Land Rover in Cambridge MA. It's a jungle out there. Funny how often you see these machines in the more well-groomed places in the world, like Wassenaar, a banker/diplomat suburb of The Hague, NL. And what about these handmade African Land Rovers?

1962 Jaguar Mk 2 (3.8 litre)

From Reid Cunningham: "Fairport NY.  Simply a beautiful car. Smaller than I remembered, and compared to most American iron of 1962, downright petite.  Just beautiful."Here's a 1960 review of the Jag Mk 2 in Motorsport.Jaguar slogan of the 1950s: Grace, Space, Pace.We posted a 1959 Jaguar Mark IX saloon, the fat Jag, a while back. And how about this 1949 XK 120? Another XK in Maine. And an XKE in Cambridge MA.
