Between Us (2022)

 When I saw Team and Win in Until We Meet Again, I didn't care much for them, actually I found Win even a little bit annoying. So it was a pleasure to actually love them basically since the beginning in Between Us. Maybe this is against the popular opinion, but I even liked that they had that first night together, even before their feelings were on the board, because, yes, we are talking of college guys, away from home, living independently... It's totally believeable that hormones got in the way. But I liked also how protective Win was of Team, how is caring persona was so mismatched with his bad boy looks. I also love how, in a way, he never bertrayed his interest in Team, not with his family or with his friends. HEA. You can see it on iQIYI.

Bad Buddy (2021)

Bad Buddy is the usual enemies to lovers thrope, and Pran and Pat are playing full into the role. True, the reasons why they are enemies is not really a big obstacle to overcome, and they have even insider supporter pushing them one toward the other. My main issue is that, I didn't really see the reason why they fell in love, the vibes, at least for me, was always more friendship than love. But if you want a college series without much drama, this is a good one. HEA.

A Tale of Thousand Stars (2021)

A Tale of Thousand Stars was too slow for my taste. The concept is good, and the actors were good as well, but I think the romance was just simmering and never really blow up (no pun intended). Even in the last few scenes of the wedding ceremony and the airport, they had to drag it once again. Anyway the scenography and setting was wonderful, it's clear this was a high budget production with serious professionals involved. HEA. You can see it on Viki.

Mr Heart (2020)

Mr Heart was cute. It started way more sexy, it actually gave me a jolt at the first scene, and I was, oh, alright, this is indeed a sexy one, but then it remained on a sweet level till the very end... and it was fine. I loved the contrast between the two male leads, a contrast that was both in character than in look, I have to confess I have always had a thing about a long tall man paired with a cute boy, and Sang Ha and Jin Won are fitting to a T the roles. My Personal Weatherman (2023)

My Personal Weatherman is one of my favorites, among those series I can rewatch without skipping a second, knowing what will happen and nevertheless being enthralled every time. This was probably one of the first dramas I saw, and for sure the first Japanese, and it set a standard for me: I love Japanese characters, I love their fashion, I love their intensity, I love basically everything, even their apparently inability of express their feelings with words and also to understand those of their partner, poor Segasaki is basically telling, and proving, to Yoh for 8 episodes that he loves him, and Yoh is always misinterpreting those actions and words for something else. I would really love a second season, especially if they tell us of the first moments together of Segasaki and Yoh, when they started living together, and yes, of their first time. HEA. Cherry Magic (2020)

Cherry Magic was cute without being stupid. I really liked the interaction between Adachi and Kurosawa, because they are not thrite. Even if Kurosawa is a handsome man, he seems totally unaware of this, and it's therefore kind and approachable by everyone. He is in love with Adachi, but he is not doing anything to be noticed by his love interest, and therefore, without the magic, probably nothing would have happened between these two. If I have to be truth, there is one thing I don't like of Cherry Magic: I didn't really care about the side couple, even if it could have been really cute, I think they played it too much on the comic/comedic, making it annoying instead of cute (at least for me). Plus I would have not minded a little more of intimacy between Adachi and Kurosawa, given these are both adult characters... but I understand they wanted to maintain this series on a sweet level. What Did You Eat Yesterday? (2019)

What Did You Eat Yesterday? is for sure different. It's the story of a long term couple, 45 and 42 years old, normal guys with normal lives. It's not extreme like Ossan's Love, it's not cute like many Japanese high school series, but it's not dramatic like some other. Yes, it's ordinary to a level that, at first, you can find it boring. But episode after episode you start to care for these two men, and you want to know a little more about them, so you go on, cause every episode gives you a glimpse in their life. And then there is the food, you almost salivate with the desire to be able to eat what Shiro is cooking. HEA. Be aware, the viewing order is Season 1, Special, Movie, Season 2. KinnPorsche (2022)

I know I'm talking about one of the most beloved BL series out there, but to me KinnPorsche was just ok if we are talking about the main couple. It doesn't fell short on the sexy characters, I agree, and Kinn and Porsche have indeed many sexy scenes together, even if, please, the first two of them are under the influence of alcohol and drugs, so much that Porsche does not remember them... So not really my ideal romance. Said that, I'm probably to blame cause my preferred couple here is not Kinn and Porsche, but Vegas and Pete, and you all are screaming at me about my consensual sex of above... but indeed, Pete is always aware when it happens, and in a way, I think he is not against it at all. So yes, if they are thinking to a sequel, or a retelling, I hope we can see more of Vegas and Pete. HEA. You can see it on iQIYI.

Triage (2022)

Triage is not really the BL romance I prefer, but I have to admit that, unexpectedly, I enjoyed it. The time loop thrope was, for once, well done, and therefore we are not presented over and over with the same scene played by the main characters, but they actually try to change their destiny changing their actions. The romance between Tin and Tol but is important element of the story, and not an accessory to the thriller story. Actually, I wanted to skip most of the scene involving the thriller, to got to those where Tin and Tol are together. HEA. You can see it on Youtube.

My Tooth Your Love (2022)

My Tooth Your Love is sweet and cute. I admit that I waited long to see it, cause, all right, a dentist? I couldn't really find this plot romantic. But I was wrong. Jin Xun An is sexy, and Bai Lang has that level of cuteness that doesn't fall into clumsiness. Both are adult men, but still, they manage to preserve the pure child inside them. Also the love story is very sweet. This is one those series I tag as "smiling kiss": if you notice, when people kiss in the BL series, sometime there is this smiling kiss, where the lips are, at the both time kissing and smiling. I found these series to be always very sweet. The two side stories are nice, one, those between RJ and Alex more developed, but also that of Da A and is patient was good. HEA.
