About the author: PHIL MARCELLO started writing as a boy in the sixties. Growing up in the projects wasn’t easy, but reading and writing were a couple of healthy vices he picked up along the way. Life happened, but Phil never entirely lost his interest and over the years, he started, but never finished, over a dozen stories.
Fortunately, he saved them all and now has the time and desire to complete them. Phil knows it will take years, but as he enjoys writing and views it as his art form it’s a labor of love he gladly undertakes.

Blog Tour: Then Sawyer Happened by Hurri Cosmo

Publisher: Dark Hollows Press
Amazon Kindle: Then Sawyer Happened
Blurb: Trace is nursing a broken heart. He lost his job, his boyfriend of two years was cheating on him, and his apartment building burned right to the ground with all his worldly possessions. It was time for Trace to get out of Minnesota.
So Trace heads for Texas and Riven Creek Ranch, the horse farm his aunt Lois owns. But hours before he arrives, Lois is in a terrible car accident that nearly takes her life, and Trace finds himself in charge of the ranch kitchen. Sounds simple enough and it's the least he can do for his recuperating aunt.
Then Sawyer happens.
Sawyer is his aunt's big, beautiful, muscle bound, incredibly sexy straight ranch manager. Someone who has no clue Trace is gay. And meeting the big man should have been okay, except it was in the middle of his aunt's kitchen at five in the morning and Trace was nearly naked. Embarrassing? Yep. But the very next day Trace proceeded to ramp up his embarrassment by quantum leaps when he nearly sets his aunt's house on fire and the brooding Sawyer has to come to the rescue.
Seems like Trace's "luck" followed him.
Not to mention that Aunt Lois's "accident" was actually attempted murder. And now, they just might want Trace dead, too.
Can Trace figure out who's behind the attempts on his aunt's life AND keep Sawyer from finding out he's hot for the cowboy?
He probably can’t. But he’s going to try.

1) What are your ambitions for your writing career?
First and foremost, to continue. I feel that I am growing and learning with every new book I finish. I have a ton of ideas and more come to me all the time so I will probably never have enough time in my life to write every book I want to. But in particular I do have a short term goal. To finish a story my late sister “wrote” in time for my mom to see it in print. I have started it. But my mom is sick now. Terminally, if we listen to the doctors. It sounds like I don’t have a ton of time. Right now, my biggest goal for my writing would be to get that done.
2) How many published books do you have? Can you tell us something about them?
I want to say 19 at the moment, soon to be twenty. But in a few short weeks it will be back down to five. A publisher of mine is closing at the end of the month taking 15 of my books off the market until I can either find a home for them, (some of them again) or self-pub them OR just let them die. What are they? All are M/M right now. As far as breaking those down into more categories, I have fantasy, SciFi, contemporary and westerns. So pretty much all over the board. Except more than two “M”’s. I don’t have any of those.
3) Your main character wants to cook something special for his love interest. What does he make?
In this book Trace would make Texas BBQ complete with loaded potato salad, sweet baked beans, and warm, fresh out of the over apple pie.
4) What are you working on at the moment? What’s it about?
Like I said, the romance my late sister wrote a basic synopsis for prior to passing away. I want to finish it for her and get it into print for my mom who is very sick. But other than that I have several WIP. “Ghost Wolf Chronicles”, about a wolf who can turn invisible and must solve a mystery concerning who is killing all the wolves. “The Boy Next Door” which is about a young man named Brandon who moves in with his grandmother to escape an abusive lover. Next door to her lives a man named Victor who is very “well-armed”, to the point Brandon thinks the man just might be a terrorist. But as time goes on Victor slowly wins Brandon over. Unfortunately Brandon has a dark secret, one that his abusive ex-boyfriend knows and when he shows up on Brandon’s doorstep and learns he has a relationship with Victor, he is hell bent on making sure Victor knows what he might be getting into. Now Brandon isn’t sure if the arsenal Victor has will be used to save him…or kill him.
And of course I have the promised sequels to “The Door Keeper” and “The Astral Mage” and also the promise to bring “Mates, Inc.” and “Hyden’s Law” together in another sequel.
5) Do you aim for a set amount of words/pages per day?
I try but sometimes life doesn’t allow it. I do sit down with my computer every day and get something done. Sometimes it is simply re-reading and tweaking what I already wrote the day before or doing some research, but I do work every day. Usually it is early in the morning, like five AM, especially on the weekends, because usually no one is up and it is quiet.

Synopisis: First Oboe Dan Cohen may be twice her age, but Second Oboe Lauren Stern isn't about to let that stand in her way. She's been fantasizing about the man beside her in the symphony, and this might just be the concert where she finally finds out what it's like to feel the scruff of his salt-and-pepper goatee against her skin.
If people are going to make intrusive comments about how much older he is, they can get over themselves. Not only is Dan an expert lover who knows how to take care of a woman, but he doesn't want her to be gentle--quite the opposite!

London 1810. Their love was a death sentence. Deacon, Viscount Carlisle, was aware of the slums and gin-lanes of London. Just as he was aware of the underground traffic that furnished the brothels and bath houses with human innocents. He was also aware that the so-called justice system would hang the accused without much of an attempt at a defense, unless the unfortunate had deep pockets to pay for it. He just hadn’t expected to be directly involved in any of it. It started with a plea for help and ended with forbidden love, the love between a Viscount and a stable-boy. An impossible love and a guarantee of the hangman's noose. Will Deacon fight for Tom? Will he risk the death sentence and take that fight from the stately halls of his English mansion to the horrors of Newgate Prison and the slums of London? Or will he realize that if he doesn't, death will be a welcome end to the loneliness of the sentence he is already living?

1) Give us an interesting fun fact or a few about your book or series:
The best fun fact about FINDING HIS FANTASY is that both characters have appeared in other books….one written by me and the other written by my writer pal, Wendy Burke. Josef first appeared in my book ACCIDENTALLY BEAUTIFUL, and Paul had a big role in Wendy’s Christmas book WISE MEN SAY. Over beers one day—or maybe while I was cutting her hair—we decided to start “stealing” each other’s characters. FINDING HIS FANTASY is the eighth book we have done this with, and you can find out the correcting reading order here: http://deannawadsworth.com/archives/504
2) How did you come up with the title of your book or series?
This title was a tough one for me, for some reason. Originally it was called “No Woman No Cry” after Josef’s gay bar. It worked because in Wendy’s book WISE MEN SAY Paul helps his BFF Emmy reunite with her MIA military hubby, and in the process Paul “loses” his only confidant in life Emmy whom he jokingly referred to as his “wife.” But since No Woman No Cry is also a song by Bob Marley, I couldn’t really use it and I was stumped for a while before I came up with FINDING HIS FANTASY…. which I am very happy with!
3) Have you ever given one of your characters the personality of someone you know?
I will never tell! LOL
4) What do you think makes a good story?
Obviously quality grammar and clean writing, LOL but well-developed characters that are not one dimensional are a must too. I’ve read books where the plot is slow but the characters suck me in. I like to think Paul in FINDING HIS FANTASY is definitely not a cookie cutter m/m romance hero.
5) What does your family think of your writing?
My hubby is very proud of me, though he doesn’t understand my love of m/m romance. I don’t think I’m alone on that front LOL. He has wondered why I’m not trying to write Harlequin Presents since those pay some big bucks…but I just can’t explain how writing The Sheik’s Virgin Secretary hurts my literary soul LOL
