Unfortunately, Ilya’s gentle nature is ill suited to the life of a wolf. But when Volyk’s old pack returns, seeking to take away Volyk’s magickal den, Ilya will have to embrace – truly become – the wolf Volyk made him, to save both his mate’s life and his own.

Excerpt: )

Meet the author: Rory Ni Coileain majored in creative writing, back when Respectable Colleges didn’t offer such a major. She had to design it herself, at a university which boasted one professor willing to teach creative writing: a British surrealist who went nuts over students writing dancing bananas in the snow, but did not take well to high fantasy. Graduating Phi Beta Kappa at the age of nineteen, she sent off her first short story to an anthology that was being assembled by an author she idolized, and received one of those rejection letters that puts therapists’ kids through college. For the next thirty years or so she found other things to do, such as going to law school, ballet dancing (at more or less the same time), volunteering as a lawyer with Gay Men’s Health Crisis, and nightclub singing, until her stories started whispering to her. Currently, she’s a lawyer and a legal editor; the proud mother of a budding filmmaker; and is busily wedding her love of myth and legend to her passion for m/m romance. She is a three-time Rainbow Award finalist.

Tell us your writing goals for this year.
Well, finishing UNDERTOW, SoulShares #7. And STONE COLD, SoulShares #8 and the conclusion of the series. And I’m working on a short story for a Shakespearean m/m charity project, and I have a few chapters of another Russian shapeshifter novel sitting in an electronic drawer – birds, this time. I’ve been asked if I’m going to do any more with Naqxo and Damis, the Lamia and his Mated from my Love Is an Open Road story from last summer, and I’d love to. And…. I have an idea for a science fiction novel kicking around in the back of my head. There’s a romance feel to it, but the romances aren’t the center of the story. We’ll see what comes of that – I’m having a lot of fun with the idea!

Jeremy Rose came to Bluewater Bay to work as Anna Maxwell's bodyguard, not to escape his increasingly bitter relationship with his estranged kids. He just wants to focus on his job and be alone for a while. He's done with love, especially now that three years after his long overdue divorce, he's got a front-row seat to the rapid deterioration between Anna and her girlfriend. Cynical doesn't even begin to describe him.

Then Anna and Leigh's attempts to reconcile put him in the crosshairs of marriage counselor Scott Fletcher. Scott's exactly what Jeremy needs right now: gorgeous, hot, horny, single, and 100% uninterested in a relationship. The problem is, too much no-strings-attached sex-and too much time in each other's company-inevitably builds emotional connection.

Except Jeremy refuses to seek counseling for his broken family, and Scott refuses to get seriously involved with men who work dangerous jobs. They both need to realize they can only hide for so long from the pain they came here to escape. They must face their pasts before they lose their shot at a happy future.

Blurb: American Flyboy is a highly readable, erotic M/M romance set amidst the backdrop of World War II.

The story is fast-paced and characterized by the believability of its characters, notably the protagonist, Lt. Kenneth Hellman, and the romance that develops between Kenneth and Colonel Wilhelm Braun. The erotic reader in search of well-nuanced, sexy love/lovemaking scenes will not be disappointed; the author is gifted with an affinity toward creating realistic, absorbing sex scenes.

Excerpt from American Flyboy )

Meet the author: N.D.Clark was born in Biloxi, MS and educated at NC State University. He is an American author who loves reading and writing gay romance/erotica set in historical backgrounds and spending time with his husband Jim, going for long walks in nature parks, dining out and taking in the occasional movie. "I was born in Biloxi, MS and educated at NC State University. I’m an American author who loves reading and writing gay romance/erotica set in historical backgrounds and spending time with my husband Jim, going for long walks in nature parks, dining out and taking in the occasional movie. I’ve been with my husband, Jim for almost sixteen years, and we were married two years ago, shortly have the US Supreme Court ruling allowing gay people to marry throughout the United States.
American Flyboy is my first book and it is a highly readable, erotic M/M romance set amidst the backdrop of World War II."

1) Why do you write?
It’s a high for me. A whole book that started out as a firefly of an idea just floating around in my head and then developed into a one-sentence tagline, a premise, the synopsis and finally a full-fledged novel.

2) Which of your books was the most difficult to write?
Well, since American Flyboy is my first and only book so far, I have to say that one.

3) Give us an insight into your main character. What does he/she do that is so special?
Kenneth Hellman is an American fighter pilot during WWII who’s been on many missions over Germany, escorting American bombers. Just before his fighter is hit by German flak, he scores two kills on German Messerschmitts, the same ones that had just shot down two American B-24 bombers, killing all twenty airmen, two of which are his best friends; these kills instantly propel him to hero status, because he not only avenges the deaths of his friends, but in doing so, he becomes an ace. Somewhere in the life and death experiences of being shot down, captured and interrogated by the enemy, Kenneth loses his virginity and has a lot of fun doing that, but he decides that life is not for him and then finally meets the one he will love forever, his German commandant.

4) How much research do you do for your books?
American Flyboy took a ton of research. I tried to be as historically accurate as possible, which required at lot of reading. I had to learn about simple, everyday things like the types of liquor and cigarettes that were popular then to the various modes of transportation like German troop carriers and various German words and phrases.
The more complex things I researched were the fighter planes and bombers from that the WWII era and the times and places of Allied and Axis troop placements and movements. And finally, a lot of research went into the POW camp in which Kenneth is eventually interned, Stalag VIII-B in Lamsdorf, Poland.

6) Who designs your covers?
Graphicxdesigns.

It's a foolproof strategy...until the emotional balance shifts. After yet another adoption falls through, Gabe is ready to give up, and Shahid isn't far behind him. Apparently, being a gay couple-half of which is Muslim-is just one strike too many for the powers that be. When their friend Kendra offers to carry their baby for them, both men balk at first, but gradually warm to the idea. Especially Gabe, whose bisexuality is open to the chemistry among the three of them. The plan seems simple. Kendra and Gabe, foregoing the cold, impersonal IVF clinic, paperwork and red tape, will conceive the old-fashioned way. They'll all share parenting responsibilities, and live happily baby after. But as the heat flares between Gabe and Kendra, Shahid's long-suppressed insecurities bubble to the surface. Then some unexpected news catches the trio off guard and derails their plans-and now one heart could be left out in the cold. Warning: Authors subsist on the tears of readers. Please recycle your hankies by wringing out and reusing. We'd hate to be the cause of a worldwide shortage of Kleenex.

Blog Tour: Torque by Charley Descoteaux

Torque by Charley Descoteaux
Release Date: February 23, 2016
Publisher: Samhain Publishing
Amazon Kindle: Torque

Blurb: Sometimes letting things get complicated is the best way to figure it all out.
Mick Randall is on the run, from the biker culture he grew up in and his impossible vision of love. Alaska should be far enough to escape his old life—until he rolls into a wrecking yard and gets lost in a pair of pale, bottle-green eyes.
Scotty Bell has spent years learning to channel his fiery temper into the heat of a welding torch. His sexual heat has always been slower to ignite, but one look at Mick rouses confusion alongside desire. In all his life, he’s only been attracted to one other person—his best friend, Mercy Taylor.
Mick lands a temporary job at the yard, and finds an uneasy crash pad at Scotty’s place…where the ragged ends of his emotions get tangled up in Scotty and Mercy’s relationship.
But when Mick hears a Harley engine from his past bearing down on him, his first instinct is to go back to the half-life he’d been living. Lest his secrets destroy the only two people who’ve ever made him feel whole.
Warning: Contains references to abuse, subversive ideas about sexual identity and gender expression, and a free-range bisexual on a mission.

Excerpt )

Meet the author: Charley Descoteaux misspent a large chunk of her youth on the back of a Harley, meeting people and having adventures that sometimes pop up in her fiction. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area during a drought, and found her true home in the soggy Pacific Northwest. Charley has survived earthquakes, tornadoes and floods, but couldn’t make it through one day without stories.

"Torque is an unconventional love story, featuring a bisexual man, a man on the ace spectrum, and a trans woman with no plans for surgery. Today I’m turning the spotlight over to Scotty Bell. He doesn’t like labels, but if he chose one for himself it would probably be asexual."

1) What’s your job like?
I weld at my gramps’ yard. It’s dirty work, but I love it. I have everything I need at Bell’s: a job, a place to live, family, and time to work on my projects. I’m proud of the parts cart I made from a busted shopping cart, wheels from a couple of broken wheelchairs, and a shock system I designed myself. It’s never bottomed out once, even back in the wilds where the yard isn’t paved.

2) Would you rather be respected or feared? Why?
Feared would be cool. *lol* Nah, I’ll take respected. If folks respect you it doesn’t matter if you’re tall or short, smart or… not so smart… If they respect you, you don’t have to go around proving yourself all the time.

3) What’s your favorite book?
I’m not big on reading but I watch a lot of movies. I like action and adventure, sometimes with vampires or other crazy shit like spies or bikers who never ride their bikes.

4) If you could go anywhere, all expenses paid, where would you go?
I’d go anywhere Mercy and Mick wanted to go. Ha-ha, Mercy would be the one making that decision, for sure. I don’t have to go anywhere. I’m happy at the yard with Mercy and Mick and Tom (my cat). It might be cool to check out the place where Mick grew up, down in Cali. But he wasn’t real happy there, so if he didn’t want to go back I wouldn’t push for it.

5) Tell us a bit about yourself.
Not much to tell. I like to play with fire (ha-ha, a welding torch). I used to get in trouble for fighting, but now that I’m having a little sex once in a while I don’t get as ticked off as I did back then. I never thought much about sex before (except when Mercy was around, but she wasn’t always around). Sex with Mick and Mercy is like fighting only it’s harder to get in trouble doing it. Mostly, anyway. Ha-ha.
Is this enough? Oh, yeah, thanks for having us!

Chris Ethan is also a persona for Rhys Christopher Ethan, author of fantasy and sci-fi. He uses Chris Ethan to share stories of adult queer romance with those who need it. Before you delve into his books however, be warned. He likes putting his characters through shitstorms and hates anything conventional. But then there’s that darned happy-ever-after.
