Dear Lord, is this necessary?
Spotlight on J. Williams!
Hello there lovelies!
What a week it is shaping up to be already!
I have loads to share with you all, because I have met some incredible people, none as excited about helping Authors as Ellie Hart!
Later this week, we have another instalment of Tom Hoddens Story time too! Exciting stuff!
But right now...
WORD LADIES AND GENTLEMAN - Meet the lovely J. Williams & Her novel..
Breathe Me!
Jeri Williams lives a super fabulous lifestyle - which she jokingly calls lame while bathing in the hot Florida sun.
The lady informs us she's a avid reader of JUST ABOUT everything, but she draws the line at instruction manuals and cereal boxes!
Jeri confess to having always written stories and made her family listen to them since she was younger, although Breathe Me is her first book she has ever published.
With love and humour, Jeri let me know she is a mom of an up-and-coming Jerry Seinfeld (in girl form) who [as any parent of teen will tell you] enjoys being right and knowing everything. Typically, Jerri said, her little lady is hardly ever right and really doesn't know anything all the while being obsessed with inventing miniature zoo animals you can carry around in your pocket (although not really).
Jeri has a keen sense of humour, which shows, and I thoroughly enjoy.
Let's have a look at Breathe Me, with a quick synopses:
You know how you hear those stories about once abused kids growing up and overcoming the difficult life they have been dealt and becoming majorly successful like FBI agents or lawyers or something cool and never having any lingering problems?
Well this isn't one of those stories. In fact, those stories are just that, stories, things that I read about in my many books I bury myself in when I'm alone.
I used to know how my life as going to be, how I was going to live out my lifeless days; unloved and fearful. Hopeless to the possibility that life, my life could be anything better than what it is now. I knew that I would either give up, or give in, either one would eventually being the end of me and I didn't think that was so bad. I would no longer be constantly reminded that I was sh*t, and would be sh*t no matter how hard I tried in life. I thought it was all easier to just slip away.
But that was before him, before Deklan.
Kindly, Jeri also gave us a little look inside!!
His breathing.
My heart.
His breathing.
My heart.
I tried to step back again, and found myself up against the side of the building, the coldness of it hitting my back. Dammit!
"Harley," he moved his thumb and caressed my bottom lip. His eyes fell to my mouth and he licked his lips, and that was it. I got goose bumps all over, as I flattened my back against the wall I looked into his eyes, now a gun metal color and watched as he searched my face. He shouldn't be allowed to look at a woman like this.
"What are you hiding?" Those words caused my slamming heart to stop. How could he know I was hiding, when not even Ember knew? I was trying to tell myself he didn’t, it was just a ploy for someone like him to get what he wanted. But deep down, I knew he knew.
"I...I...I don't know what..."
He took a deep breath and closed the already small gap between our bodies. I put my hands up to stop him, and came into contact with his rock hard abdomen. Shit, those couldn’t be real. I wanted to move my hand further and feel what I knew would be a six pack, if not eight. That was the wrong thing to touch if I wanted to stop him.
"Just a taste..." His grip on my face tightened slightly as he pulled me toward his lips, the heat coming off him felt amazing, it instantly made my vaginal walls tighten and moisture to dampen my panties. I had been waiting 23 years for this kiss, to feel lips on mine. I moved my hands to his side and gripped the sides of his shirt blazingly pulling him closer, I wanted this, I didn’t care that he was a stranger, a customer and that I didn’t even know his name. I. Was. Ready.
He must have taken my actions as a go-ahead and he slowly leaned down bringing our mouths closer. I closed my eyes because that’s what they did in all my books and waited for his lips to touch mine.
"Harley, is that you?" A voice I knew and hated right now called out.
Seriously?! Great fucking timing Ember. I heard him make the sexiest noise I have ever heard as he braced his hand against the wall and leaned down, his lips brushing my ear.
“I smell you. Fuck, you smell amazing.” His voice came out leathery.
If I wasn’t leaning against a wall, I would have fainted epically right there.

VENGEANCE OF THE GODS by O'jay Dimbuh
Hey there Lovelies! So you hear from me twice on a Friday? Well of course you do, because sometimes, things are just THAT exciting and I put my writing aside to bring you something great to sink your teeth into!
This is no different!
Sarah & Kirsty's Book Reviews for putting me onto this, and allowing me to be a part of it.
So A little bit about the Author - cus we know we like to know this stuff!
I was born and raised in the Nigerian south-eastern city of Enugu. I am a graduate of Visual Arts from the University of Port Harcourt, majoring in sculpture; I am also a painter.
I have great drive and ambition for my writing, and hope to become one of the great storytellers of our time. I love music, drama, and the computer. I have written several published articles, poems, drama, and movie scripts.
I am an entrepreneur, masseur, sports & fitness enthusiast, a martial artist, a voracious reader, and a thinker. I am inspired in life by the outstanding characters of the Bible, and great thinkers, both ancient and modern.
For me, writing is a means of unburdening my spirit, expressing my values, beliefs and concerns for the future - a relief-inducing exercise.
VENGEANCE OF THE GODS - my first prose - epitomizes all these. It is a story through which I have expressed my affinity with my roots.
I live in Abuja, Nigeria, where I run my advertising agency.

Synopsis:
ADVENTURE, STEAMY PASSION, BETRAYAL, ROMANCE, REBELLION...
This is a fascinating historical epic, an intriguing tale of passion, deep-seated cultural divide, the original conflict, great vision, cast-iron convictions, and exceptional courage – the deeply evocative story of one man’s compulsive and dangerous quest to follow his conscience…
Bold, brave, golden-hearted and endearingly steadfast, Chidebem repeatedly defied the odds as he wound through a most extraordinary life, growing to become one of the greatest men to live, east of the Niger River, in the area later called Nigeria.
From the unbelievably daring rescue of two children from five armed slave-hunters, to a driven and passionate but short-lived love affair with an alluringly beautiful Irish widow at nineteen. From the breathtaking spectacle of his virtually barehanded lion-kill, to his great wealth, fame, and women. From the clever and dangerous rescue of Royal Niger Company men facing near-certain death at the fearsome clan of Okija, to an ingenious intervention to prevent a massacre of his people as the British marched in…

Then came the crunch. First, he faced the dilemma of a 'sacrilegious' twin-birth by the love of his life, then the political shenanigans of agents of the great British Empire. Will 'the greatest of Ngana's sons' back down for once in his life, for fear of conflict with the ways of his ancestors? Will he tremble at the prospect of a confrontation with the mighty District Commissioner and the god-like British Resident? Or will he follow his conscience, as usual, and take the boldest and most daring steps in his colorful life? His decisions will have profound and far-reaching consequences for himself, his beloved people and countless others …
ADVENTURE:
Like something out of a nightmare, the beast drew back his great head, growled fiercely, and surged forward towards Chidebem. As he leapt past the unconscious girl, If'adikanwa rushed forward, scooped up her daughter in her arms, and ran back towards her hut. For a moment, Chidebem stood, scarce believing that the lion was coming at him. Then he hastily pulled his gun from his left shoulder, took aim, and shot at the onrushing beast. It was a poor shot. His hands shook so badly that…

Katherine fell into continuous orgasms, until she was sobbing with the avalanche of feelings, her head moving frantically from side to side on the bed. She was trembling uncontrollably, completely overwhelmed with unbelievably intense pleasure, all her senses concentrated on the sensations ravaging her entire being…
BETRAYAL:
“You told me that it wasn’t poison,” cried Ofoma, distraught, as he gripped Ez'ibe tightly around his throat with both hands. “You swore that what you gave to me was to make me able to control his mind, to make him do whatever I say.” His eyes were wild with pain and anger, and tears stood out in them as he held Ez'ibe as though he wanted to strangle him…
ROMANCE:

Roy had started to avoid her. She had felt terribly hurt, not knowing what she had done wrong. Over the next several weeks, she had seen him at various social gatherings with a succession of girls. They were all very beautiful and obviously belonged to the right social class. She had burnt with jealousy and cried herself to sleep several times. Then she saw him at a ball and he had the nerve to walk over to her and casually ask her for a dance. What cheek! Her reaction was thoughtless and shocked even herself, as she threw a glassful of wine in his face, her eyes blazing...
REBELLION:
By midday, the whole of Umuelo was like a battlefield and many had fled their homes. Some ran to nearby clans, especially where they had friends or family. Others ran to the church house on the outskirts of the clan to take refuge. When the protesters eventually got to the church house...
