Rob began writing in 2009 following a promise to his wife, an avid reader, that he could pen a ‘can’t put down’ thriller. He worked for nearly 13 years for a global accounting firm after graduating from The University of Nottingham in 2002, specialising in forensic fraud investigations at both national and international levels. Hi Adele,

Thanks for the question! Is 30 reviews good? I have no idea!
The answer though is I have been working several hours a day for the last six months tirelessly promoting my work (particularly online here, FB and twitter)! I've enjoyed it and it is starting to pay off in terms of sales/reviews but it's certainly been hard work and has seriously dented my writing time!

Some of the initial reviews were from review copies I gave out, maybe half a dozen.

It is great though every time I see a new (positive) review - not many more satisfying feelings than that ;)

The Black Hornet by Rob Sinclair
"The Red Cobra which is the first book in the James Ryker series totally blew me away. As there is a bit more back ground to Ryker and that The Black Hornet starts where that ends, I would recommend reading it prior to starting this one.

"My rating 5 out of 5 stars.

James Ryker is an ex JIT agent and he and his wife, Lisa, have ‘reinvented’ themselves in the hope of being able to live a relatively normal life away from the violence and danger of their past.

This is the 2nd book in th..." Read more of this review »

“help.’ ‘Can you get me out of here?’ ‘Not exactly.’ ‘So how can you help?’ ‘I... we can provide consular assistance. A translator for any interviews, a lawyer if you need one. And we’ll work closely with the authorities here to get you repatriated to Britain as soon as possible.’ ‘So what are you waiting for?’ Willoughby looked flustered. ‘It’s not quite that easy. We need to wait for the prosecutor to come back with their plan. At the moment we’re still waiting for the official charge.’ ‘I’ve not even been charged? And how long will that take?’ Willoughby rubbed the side of her neck. ‘That’s a good question. The system here is a bit different to back home, to say the least.’ ‘I’d never have imagined.’ ‘But, for starters, there’s something more pressing.’ ‘Which is?’ ‘We believe you’re British. That’s according to the information we’ve been given about your arrest, the communication we’ve had with the Mexican police and prosecution service, and… your accent speaking with me today.’ ‘I’m sensing a but.’ ‘We don’t know who you are. We don’t know your name”
