How Can You Stop Procrastinating?

Procrastinating is very similar to laziness, almost cannot be differentiated. However, we may say that laziness is a feeling of not want to do any work even we have something to do or not. We can be lazy at any situation. But, procrastinating is a feeling of not want to do any work even we have something to do. It is just a bit different, don’t you see?

I think it is one of human natures to be procrastinated. Most people prefer to wait until the last minute before starting to work. This is because they feel good to do nothing or don’t like to worry about anything if not necessary. On the contrary, this kind of good feelings will bring you big suffer later. Why is it like that? This is because when they wait until the last day, they will be too stressed to make it good. As the time is running every second, they will feel more and more stressed.

Finally, they will just do every way to finish the work without caring about its quality. The limitation of time will force them to produce a bad work. Moreover, some are worse than this. They may not be able to finish it on time so they have to postpone it to the next day. Don’t you think this is terrible? To be like this confirms that they are irresponsible and unreliable. However, this problem can be solved by us ourselves.

Some simple ways I am suggesting may encourage you to win your heart. Every way starts with your thought. Changing just a little bit of your thought may permanently stop your procrastinating forever. As soon as you know that you have something to do, just do it immediately. You have no reason to wait longer. But, if you are really busy at that time, you have to answer yourself immediately when will you do it. Promise yourself to finish it as soon as possible. You have to think like a competition. You must be the first one who finishes that job.

Compare yourself to your friends or colleagues. Win them by working faster. If you can do this, you will become one of the number one employees in your company. If you have nobody to compete with, you have to compete with yourself instead. Set up a proper period of time to finish that job and you must finish it on time. This is quite fun. I think you will enjoy it. Every time you can do that, you will feel proud of yourself, love and esteem yourself. In addition, you will feel that working is challenging and exciting. So, there will be no reasons to not working immediately anymore. You can do it!

We don’t have much time left for this life. Our main responsibility in life is to build ourselves up. Prove ourselves valuable and are deserved living. Only working can justify that. Anxiety a kind of stress called “emotional and psychological stress” which is caused by thinking too much about some strong incidents that happened in the past and something that would happen in the future. When you are anxious, you will take big breath often. This is because you can’t breathe evenly to take enough breath for your body.

It is clear that anyone who is anxious will have a short life. This is because anxiety is very harmful to human health for it effects towards the blood circulation. Whatever will happen let it happens. You just have to make “today” your best day. Yesterday passed already and tomorrow is not coming yet. Nothing you can do with that. Mentioning about success encourages me to think about a famous person named “Napoleon Hill”. You may have heard about him before. He spent 20 years to interview a great number of famous people at that time till he discovered the “16 Law of Success”. I think these are the great habits leading you to your success. But, I would like to explain only 9 of them here so you won’t feel too tired reading my long article.

1. The Master Mind

Napoleon hill defines it “as a mind that is developed through the harmonious cooperation of two or more people who ally themselves for the purpose of accomplishing any given task.” According to the definition, you should find some people who have the same goals as you have. What Behaviors Bring You to Happiness?

We may say that happiness is what every man wants but, each one has different ways to make him happy. But unfortunately, most people all around the world completely misunderstand about happiness. They forget their real life goals or even don’t know about that. Their ignorance is leading them to a fake happiness. Sometimes, it is hard to differentiate between fake and real things. The happiness that comes up from the deep inside the heart is supposed to be a real one. Many people try very hard to be happy by trying to earn as much money as they can without caring of right and wrong. Many of them want to be accepted, successful, good looking and whatever a man could desire. And, it is hard to explain what human needs are.

However, you may have heard about Maslow’s theory of Hierarchy of Human Needs Model. He proposed the theory in psychology by portraying human needs in the shape of a pyramid with the largest, most fundamental levels at the bottom and the need for self-actualization at the top. He classified human needs into five levels; those are physiological needs, safety needs, love and belonging, esteem and self-actualization, respectively. It is said that happiness comes from the satisfaction of what a human has.

Frankly, not all the needs Maslow proposed can bring true happiness to humans because these needs are expectations. I think that true happiness doesn’t need to come from expectation but from doing anything without expecting to receive something back in return. It means that there are so many behaviors that humans may forget to think about. The behaviors suggested below are so easy to try.
