Dealing with Anxiety

“Anxiety is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind. If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained.”

Robert Albert Bloch

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Mark Twain

“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing which you think you cannot do.”
Anna Eleanor Roosevelt

Anxiety a kind of stress called “emotional and psychological stress” which is caused by thinking too much about some strong incidents that happened in the past and something that would happen in the future. When you are anxious, you will take big breath often. This is because you can’t breathe evenly to take enough breath for your body.

It is clear that anyone who is anxious will have a short life. This is because anxiety is very harmful to human health for it effects towards the blood circulation. Moreover, he will never be happy with anything because anxiety is also a strong habit that is not easy to be removed. And, we can’t deny that unhappiness is a part of having short life. As a result, we should find out how to deal with our anxiety.

Initially, you have to examine yourself to see that you are anxious or not. If you feel unhappy, cannot sleep, take big breath often, thinking too much about something, it means you are anxious. When you know that, you must realize that this is dangerous. You must try to stop it. The next thing you have to do is to find out why you are anxious. What do you fear of? Basic of fear is divided into six types, fear of poverty, fear of elderly, fear of criticism, fear of losing of love, fear of unhealthiness and fear of death. Which one do you fear of? Take your time to think.

However, to deal with anxiety is a possible thing. There are many ways to removed it. For instant, you can keep yourself busy with something (something you enjoy doing) for you won’t have time to worry about anything. On the other hand, learn to think positive. You are not the worst person in this world. There are so many people who have worse lives than you. Repeating thinking about the same thing too often won’t help but enlarge the problem. Whatever will happen let it happens. You just have to make “today” your best day. Yesterday passed already and tomorrow is not coming yet. Nothing you can do with that. Stay with your present and you will overcome anxiety. Robert Albert Bloch said that “Anxiety is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind. If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained.” Don’t you think this is true?
