Well, here we go today, with a slightly perspective. Physical perspective, not a mental one. I’m actually writing this from the love seat in the upstairs living room. Something a little different. Only the second time, I haven’t written my journal page in the basement office, and that’s kind of ok. I was getting a bit tired of that cold basement office during this long winter. So, I figured I’d do a little bit of writing from a room with a view so to speak. A bit of practice with the lapt...

Well, yesterday was a pretty mixed bag of stuff. Some good and some bad. Definitely had a bit of tiger blood flowing through the veins and still have a bit of it going through this morning. Ended up being the first one in the house to wake up this morning, which is a bit unusual. Actually, it’s totally unusual, as I never get up before everyone in the house . . . at least not mon-friday I don’t. But, today I did. I’m going to assume, it has to do with eating super healthy for like 28 days...

I’m running out of words to explain, how to find ways to generate more words on the page. I’m actually really tired of talking about it. How many inspirational and motivational different ways do you need to look for to come up with a reason to write. I know all the reasons. I know all the rationale. I know all the benefits, and I know all the detriments that can from writing or not writing. It’s really just a simple matter of thinking too much anymore. Like Bruce says, “Thinking too much...

Hmm, another morning, and not so sure what to write about. I suppose, I could crap all over the book I finished yesterday Apocalypse by Kyle West. Kyle is another author from the writers cafe forum that I follow, that has recieved a bit of success lately with his writing. He’s actually written about 5 books now in his series the Wasteland Chronicles and has decided to go full time with writing due to the success of the series. I read the first book. It was free, and it was sort of an exer...

Well, this looks like it will be another day, to get a new badge on 750words.com. I should break 100,000 words on here today. That for sure is the length of a novel. Now mind you, that about 15% of those words are just my meta data tracking that I do, but that’s still 85,000 words, which for sure is a novel. That’s cool, but also somewhat disappointing when you come to think of it. What it means, is that ever since I started this I’ve done more words on here, then I have in my own novel....

So, here I am, bright and early on a Saturday morning at 6:32 writing my morning jounrals. Why the hell would I be up this early on a Saturday morning? Well, it certainly has something to do with the fact, that Samantha woke me up at 5am to take her to practice, and then, I couldn’t get back to sleep afterwards, mainly because, I fasted yesterday. Ate nothing, and only drank water. Actually, I did take a couple of vitamins, but that was it. So, it always seems, that whenever I do that, I...

So, yesterday, was the second day in a row, that I actually got some writing done. That was pretty cool. And, I should note, that it was a lot less painful then the day before. And, I did even more words, by writing around 1200 words. Still working on the new prologue for the novel, but that’s ok. Moving in the right direction. I should also say, that I was sorta a bit pumped to write the words, so that’s an even better thing. Cool. Another thing that caught my attention yesterday, which...

This is one of those days, where I sort of feel at a loss of what to write about in my morning journal, so, I’m just going to wing it. Yesterday was pretty good, and actually a step in the write directions for a change. I was late getting to it, but eventually I did write about 700 words, and did a bit more plotting on the novel. Basically, I layed out an outline for a better beginning for my novel, that included a new chapter, and 3 new scenes. Then, heaven forbid, I actually wrote 700 w...

Alright, enough of these personal relationship diversions. Time to get back to our regularly scheduled program. Time to get some writing done. Time to do some plotting. Time to do some editing. It’s all part and parcel of the whole writer gig, as my favorite genie would say. Just be prolific. How many different ways, do I have to find to motivate myself? It would appear to be at least one more. Ah, what the hell. Time to get going on this shit. Yesterday was a day not so memorable. I did...

There’s no need to overcomplicate things, and blow things up so they’re bigger then they seem. But, for some reason, that’s exactly what I seem to do all the time, when it comes to getting the job done. More specifically, the job of publishing my first book. It’s not that tricky, and in the grand scheme of things, it’s not even all that important. It’s purely a selfish exercise in self expression, with the hopes of validating your importance during this stupidly short period in your life...
