Annetta Lucero sets Nordland spinning
Nordland Publishing are excited to welcome Annetta Lucero to our growing family – a two times Guinness World Record holder, a six times World Championship medal winning twirlsport gymnast, a Cirque du Soleil special events artist and a renowned choreographer.
She is not only a gifted performance artist with a lifetime of dedication and discipline to her art, but also an incredible speaker and writer – and an inspiration to all who know her. She certainly left an impression on us.

A look back at 2016
The year held some new experiences, and some highs for Nordland Publishing. We produced some fine books, attended some launches, hosted our first webcast, and generally had a good time.
We published the third in the Songs of the North series, Compass Head by Nat Hall. A book of contrasts, language and imagery. It is beautiful on multiple levels and is, I think you will agree, an absolute must have.
We also put out our first SteamPunk novel, Legacy, the brainchild of Michelle Lowe. Legacy is an alternate reality Victorian romp, with magic, murder and plenty of mayhem. Oh, and a thief you just cannot help but cheer for. Look out for more from Michelle, in the future!
In the summer, we went outside of our comfort zone when we published High Tide, Low Tide; a book about the challenges of Bipolarism, and how a good friend can make all the difference. We are proud of the courage, determination and elegance of the story and the writing from Fran Houston and Martin Baker.
We followed that up with Antares, a stunning Sci-Fi anthology that brought on board the talents of David Grigg, an antipodean editor extraordinaire, who provided the driving force behind the collection. You can expect to see a call for submissions to volume II of Antares in the near future.
Next came Mythos, the second of the Northlore Series, and as cool a collection of stories about the Norse gods as you could want!
The very final release of the year, was the second in the Guardian series, Blood in the Snow, by yours truly, MJ Kobernus. All in all, we did well, and we are thankful to all those that helped makes these books a reality. And we are grateful too, to all those who bought them, and keep coming back for more.

The Northlore Series – Vol. II – MYTHOS
The Northlore series is a trilogy of Anthologies that examine the beliefs, traditions and spirit of the North in poetry and prose. First was Folklore. Now comes Mythos.
The second book of the series and provides a glimpse into the lives of the Norse Gods, after the advent of Christianity. For over a thousand years the Aesir have wandered this world, interfering in the affairs of man, sometimes choosing sides, providing help where deserved and guidance where needed. Within Mythos, you will discover the identity of the blacksmith that battles a ravening wolf. David R. Grigg has been deeply involved in the science fiction community, publishing fanzines and helping organize SF conventions, including chairing the 43rd World SF Convention held in Melbourne in 1985.

The Antares Anthology is available now.
This anthology marks a new direction for Nordland, as it is pure speculative fiction. Since this is our first foray into this field, I would like to take a minute to introduce the Antares team. As Editor in Chief of Nordland Publishing, I had a hand in affairs, but the lion’s share of the work fell to our two new associates, David Grigg and Micha Fire, both of whom came to Nordland from a previous collaborative project.
A little about our new team: David, who, aside from being an editor par excellence, is a talented writer and science fiction magus. Micha is also a superlative writer and an invaluable member of the management team behind Antares.
Antares is an annual publication, and you can be assured that it will always strive to include only the very best of speculative science fiction.
