It’s Done!
2017 #ROW80 Round 1: Check-In #22
The first round of #Row80 for 2017 is done. Now it’s time to see how productive I was. For starters, I’m writing this post at ten pm. Technically, I’m early because the round doesn’t end until tomorrow, but I want to keep my post on its regular Wednesday schedule. As I mentioned in my last update, the next round would be hosted at Hunter Hues. So if you don’t want to miss it, you can sign up for the email updates here.
Today, I finished the edits for Binding...

#TeaserTuesday – 3/21/2017 – St. Andrew’s Bay Chronicles
Following last week’s teaser, I’m staying with the Gates to the Worlds series. This first story has a special place in my heart since it takes place in Puerto Rico.

Jumping
An hour away from the start of my vacation and I was running after a bunch of clowns. Literally. I should be clocking out and leaving my partner with all the paperwork. God knows he deserved it for backing out at the last minute.
“Come on, man. It’s time to join the circus,” Marcus shouted back as he reached the depot’s fence.
I joined him shortly after, out of breath. “Stop making me laugh, asshole, or I’m not going to make it.”
We were over the fence by the time the train started p...

Branding & the Rounds to Come
2017 #ROW80 Round 1: Check-In #21| 10 Minute Novelist: Update #11
During the last week, I have seen several authors in my genre asking for tips and tricks about marketing, branding, and website design. As I mentioned before, I come from a design and business administration background. Therefore, not getting caught in all the bells and whistles is hard.
On my last update, I mentioned my secondary pen name–Leigh Hunter–and my plans for the near future. All of them are part of the brand I’m tryi...

#RainbowSnippets *~* March 18-19, 2017 *~*
Running behind today. Will see how this turns out. Hopefully, Vincent won’t disappear again.
Week 17 of 52: Luci’s POV [story continues right after the previous entry]
The honorific made Lucifer paused. For decades, Vincent had served by his side, and now he wanted to rip off the demon’s throat. He closed his eyes again, searching the for the difference he sensed seconds ago. His connection to Vincent was vanishing, and the more he tried to pull on it, the more it disintegrated.
“Father! Stop...

[Fridays with Favorites] Into Deep Waters by Kaje Harper
Well, it’s Friday once again and the topic for this post took me by surprise. I didn’t have an author scheduled for today, so that meant it was a favorites kind of day.
[image error]Yesterday, I started listening to Into Deep Waters by Kaje Harper and was about eighty percent done by the time I went to bed. I always keep a rating in my head of the books I’m reading. It helps me deciding the final one when it’s time to write the reviews. At that point, this story was around four stars.
But this morning tha...

30 Weeks of Kink: Week #10 – 3/16/2017
Week 11: What are your views on the ethics of kink?
As for ethics, all my stories can be considered SSC or RACK. I do read dub-con and some non-con, but I don’t think I can do it justice in my books. I try to stay on the happy side of romance and prefer my BDSM with a side of humor. I try to frame my plots with everyday events, and characters that can be walking by you at any given moment.

Alter Egos & #Row80
2017 #ROW80 Round 1: Check-In #20
We only have one more week to go in this round. I’m still trying to decide if I want to be part of the next round or take a break for a while. This is my fifth consecutive round and I don’t want to start repeating the same topics or get people bore with the update posts. Maybe I’d play around and find a way to make them a bit more interesting and less of a chore for all of you to read.
As for today, I sent my monthly newsletter for this pen name. You can find...

#TeaserTuesday – 3/14/2017 – Beyond the King’s Curse
Some day I’d write the third installment in the Gate to the Worlds series, The Sea Guardian’s Prince. In the meantime, here’s a little tease about it; found in Beyond the King’s Curse.

Monday Flash Fic – Blinds – 03/13/2017

Blinds
The late afternoon light shadowing my office worked to my advantage. I brought the blinds down further before setting all the papers I’d need to show Mr. Penfield. Yes, he was right. His wife had cheated on him, but she looked so happy I feel bad for ruining it for her.
I pulled a bottle of scotch out of my cabinet and poured two fingers. I leaned back in my chair, enjoying the swirl of liquid hitting the glass. Adjusting my framed picture, I called for Mr. Penfield to be let in.
“Rea...
