i’m actually reading a series for once
And I just finished book three last night! Now I neeeeeed to go to the library for book four. The City Spies series by James Ponti is clever, heartfelt, and so much fun. 🤩 I’m enjoying how easy they are to read while not sacrificing depth. Do you have a series you enjoy?

the birthday book tag
It’s my birthday month, and what better way to celebrate than a tag! I found this one on Confessions of a Serial Reader, and it looked like a ton of fun. 😁🙌 (It’s different from the Birthday Book Tag I’ve done before, but I can still use the featured image, mwaha.) Count your birthday along...Continue reading »

i’ve been writing shorter reviews lately
I’ve been writing much shorter reviews lately (sometimes just a couple sentences long like my recent review of Harry Potter #1), and I’m really not sure why. Is it because I don’t feel like I have much to add to the conversation surrounding a popular book? Because I’ve refined my tastes so well that I’m...Continue reading »

Besides December, this has to be my favorite month. Not only is it the start of spring, but it also holds my birthday, a new book release, an in-person event where I’m selling my books and cupcakes, and most of all… it’s Middle-Grade March! I gathered up my middle-grade TBR stack (except one book I...Continue reading »

monday mini-review #4: The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West
⭐⭐⭐⭐ The angst and cuteness and consequences (!!) and adorableness of fake dating?! In a very pure, sweet YA setting?! Yesss. I especially loved Gia’s character arc and how Hayden wasn’t perfect. 🤍 (And Bec is a legend!) Special thanks to my sister for recommending this one. 😉

it’s time to switch gears
Since I finished draft one of “A Dream of Flight”, it’s time to take a break from that WIP, but that doesn’t mean I feel ready to take a break from writing. So what do I do next? Do I dive into the prequel novella and freshen it up for a summer release? Do I...Continue reading »
