any recs for lgbt+ YA novels that take place in the 80s/90s? thank u!!
One of the very best, in fact - Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Saenz is set in the 80s! And Grrrls on the Side by Carrie Pack is set in 1994. Also, it’s actually a New Zealander YA, but Dare Truth or Promise by Paula Boock was written in 1997, and the American YA classic Annie on My Mind by Nancy Garden was written in 1992. I also definitely recommend reading All Out, which has a few stories set then. (Definitely two set in the 90s; not sure how man...
