#100AbChallenge Begins Jan 1st. You in?

This is the biggest challenge we’ve EVER done. I’m personally committing to doing 100 reps of a unique ab exercise every single day, for 30 days. And guess what? I’m going to go the extra extra EXTRA mile and give you something I have NEVER EVER done before.


I’ll be uploading 30 workout videos in 30 days.


YUP.


1 video for day, per move.


Ambitious. But I’m gonna do it. Because I don’t want to hear ANY excuse for you to not join in! So, if you’re ready to commit, go in the comments right now and type “I’M IN!”


Here’s the challenge:



WHEN:


Jan 1 to Jan 30


WHAT:


Do 100 reps of the ab exercise listed for the day! Whether it’s all 100 reps in one go, or 10 sets of 10 reps – doesn’t matter. JUST FINISH IT.


Take a before picture on Jan 1 and an after picture on Jan 30! As long as you’re eating clean and drinking tons of water, you will see and feel a difference at the end of the challenge! Use #100abchallenge if you post anything along your journey! This will help us all stay motivated and connected!


WHERE:


Anywhere! You can do all these moves with no equipment! Print out this printable above and hang it on your wall and also head over to YouTube.com/Blogilates to watch my daily video showing you EXACTLY how to do each move! I’ll also suffer through the 100 reps with you!


AHHH!!! Are you ready!!?? This is SO EXCITING! I AM PUMPED! I’ve never done 100 reps of a lot of these moves, so I am curious to see how I will do! Also, if you want me to collab with a particular person, comment below and tell me who!

2 minutes before I went on stage, I ripped up my speech.


My dad once said…”You have 3 choices. You can either be a doctor, a lawyer, or…a failure.”


I didn’t like any of them. So I wrote in my own answer to that multiple choice question.


I spent 2 days struggling to write my acceptance speech for one of the biggest achievement awards of my life. But…just a couple minutes before I stepped on stage, I ripped it up. I decided to speak from the heart.


To be honored with the Digital Influencer Award in front of so many people I respect and admire – directors, actors, writers, authors, singers, and fellow creators I’ve watched for so many years – my body was shaking, my heart was racing, but my soul was flying.


Choosing to follow my passion was scary. I tried to ignore it, but as the days passed on, my heart became more hollow, more fragile, and more lost. I wanted badly to make my parents happy, but I didn’t know how it would be possible if I wanted to be fulfilled too. There were times I even thought of ending it all…


Eventually, my soul couldn’t take it anymore…so I took a risk…on myself, on my family, and on my future. I dropped out of Organic Chemistry, sabotaged my perfect Pre-Med record, and followed my heart to where I am today.


If you grew up Asian American, you’ve probably heard this story. Maybe you ARE this story. Perhaps you’re still trying to figure out YOUR story.


My parents gave me an extremely rough time growing up, but I owe it to them for igniting this INTENSE fire inside me. Their blockades taught me how to FIGHT HARD for what I wanted. We still have a lot to work through, but I love them so much for helping me become the woman I am today.


Thank you Kore Asian Media for this incredible honor and for bringing together so many inspiring people in our community for a moment to stop, dress up real fancy, and celebrate! Thank you to my fellow creators for your genuine friendship and enthusiastic support. And thank you to YOU GUYS, my POPsters – you are the reason why I’m living my actual dream. THANK YOU.

“The Enchanted Oasis” – our official wedding film!


You guys…Sam and I are SOOOOOOOOO excited to invite you to The Enchanted Oasis. Watch our wedding film above and come relive the magic that happened in the desert on October 6th, 2018! Eeeeee!


I’ve been meaning to do a wedding recap for a LONG LONG time, but things got super crazy after the wedding. (I mean, we still haven’t gone on our honeymoon yet!) We are still getting used to calling each other “husband” and “wife” – but every time we do it, we can’t help but smile and say “Can you believe…!!??” 2 months into our marriage and over 10 years into our relationship you guys! I’m grateful that everything still feels super fresh!


Okay, ready for our wedding photo story? Let’s begin!



The morning began with me getting ready in the Master Suite at the Solomon Estate in Rancho Mirage, CA. I felt like a princess in a modern day castle! I mean, there’s a palm tree growing in the master bath for goodness sake! A PALM TREE. Oh there’s a jacuzzi, a sauna, and 2 toilets in there too. The bathroom alone is like the size of my ENTIRE first apartment x 3. Ha!



Here’s my sister Jackelyn and I taking a moment to Instagram Story our Tieks! I mean, gotta capture every moment! We’re using my Galia Lahav veil as a backdrop.



This is when I sat my mom, sister, and Sam’s mom down to give them personal cards, hand carved hangers, and robes to wear for the getting ready part of the day! Apparently I’m a really good writer because everyone is crying.



Jackelyn got these wooden hangers hand made from a vendor on Etsy! How cool right?



I love this shot. It’s me, mom and sis having a special moment before we put on our dresses.



Perspective. The train is REALLY long on my Galia Lahav dress, but you really don’t understand HOW long until you see it next to the other non-bridal dresses. There’s enough tulle for me to live in for the rest of my life.



These are my wedding shoes from Badgely Mischka! They have platform on them too, so they’re not THAT uncomfortable. There are rhinestones all around the shoe which made them SUPER glamorous (plus I love the rose gold sole which matches my ring), however, I did not know that rhinestones + tulle was going to be the worst idea ever for walking. The stones kept catching onto the inside tulle of my dress and made it nearly impossible to walk down the stairs and then down the aisle! It even ripped part of my dress. But oh well! Whatcha gonna do!?



The ceremony dress. This is the Ms. Elle from Galia Lahav, custom designed to have a deep v cut in the front as well as side cut outs.



It’s always so cool to see something go from concept to completion.



THAT TRAIN THO.



Didn’t think I was extra? Well now you know!



Meanwhile, Sam and Sir George played in their matching tuxedos!



Sam’s dad, his best man, Sam, and my dad getting ready for the big moment! Doesn’t everyone look so dapper?



Yes, Sir George sure thinks so, while posing all casual on top of a medieval leather bound book.

What I’d look like if I had the “perfect” body throughout history…

Sometimes, I stare at myself in the mirror and I wonder how I would look if I had a “perfect” body, like the ones I see splashed all over magazines and on the explore page of Instagram. But…what if it wasn’t 2018? What would my “ideal” body look like then?


So, I decided to find out.


Here’s what I’d look like if I had the “perfect” body throughout history.


Mid 2010s-2018:


Small waist, big butt butts, wide hips, tiny waists, and full lips are in! There is a huge surge in plastic surgery for butt implants thanks to Instagram models posting “belfies”.

Try this Hike HIIT! (Perfect workout for Sagittarius babes)

Happy Sagittarius season!


This is the final zodiac workout in our series! It’s a great one for my Sag babes but also, just a fantastic one for the rest of us because it turns your hike into a HIIT workout! If you don’t have a mountain laying around by your house – no worries! I made this doable on the treadmill too. NO EXCUSES!


Your Sweat Horoscope:


Because adventure is in your DNA, your workout has to be something that will surprise you and take you off the beaten path. You have a “conquer the world” kind of spirit, you love to see new places, try new things, and a little competition is something you find very appealing. So, take your workout outdoors! You’re going to find more motivation OUTSIDE of the gym.


Your workout: Not your average hike! In this routine, you’re going to need a hike with a path that will allow you to do things like lunges and jumping jacks. (If you don’t have a hike near you, you can actually do this on your treadmill! Just make sure to have it on an incline!) We’re going to turn your hike into a hike-HIIT! Make sure you have your timer on you so you know when to switch moves!

MPH listed for people doing this on a treadmill.


Print this out or screenshot it on your phone! Have a timer handy.



Here are what the moves look like in case you’re unsure!



Walking lunges


Step forward, switching legs and keep your front knee bend at a 90 degree angle!



Jumping Jacks


You’ll need to do these off the treadmill, or in place on your hike!



Dead Man Walking


Keep it low! To decrease intensity, bring your hands to your hips and/or stay a bit higher.




Sashay Left & Right


Remember ballet class as a kid!? Okay, if not, then just imagine you’re taking a wide step to one side and then hop up so that both feet touch underneath you, then land wide again!

It’s Your Scorpio Sculpt!

Hello Scorpios!


It’s your bday month – finally! Here’s what’s in store for you…


Your Sweat Horoscope:


You are a hard worker in all aspects of your life – the gym is no exception. The harder you work, the happier you are! Sometimes you have a tendency to allow your frustrations to get bottled up, so make sure to release the steam through frequent exercise!


Your Workout: Grab your weights – anywhere between 5-15 lbs (or even more!) and try these 6 exercises that will target all your muscles. Do 4 rounds of this routine for a complete workout!



#1. Single Legged Tricep Kickbacks x 15 ea side


Make sure to keep your hips square as lift your legs. Keep elbows hinged at your sides.



#2. Side Plank Row x 20 Alt.


Have your feet hip width apart. Row elbow up as chest stays facing the floor. Only open your chest when lifting into side plank.

#3. Squat to Shoulder Press x 15


When squatting down, try to get your butt and hamstrings parallel to the floor if possible!


#4. Kettlebell Swing x 20


Thrust with your hips! This is a cardio move. Do not use your arms at all. Your hands are simply just holding the weight or kettlebell.


#5. Weighted Butt Lifts x 15 ea leg


Go slow and pause at the top for the biggest booty lifting effect!


[image error]#6. Calf Raise with Front Raise x 15


Do not raise your arms higher than shoulder height. Pause for a moment on top!


There you have it! Even if you’re not a Scorpio, you can still do this workout :P Enjoy!
